29Don't state on your website or anywhere that you close at 9pm if staff are going to say that they're "closing now" 20 minutes before closing time. Stopped by to quickly see the options on sizes of backpacks they had and an employee came up saying that they were "closing now" but offered assistance and then stated again that they were closing immediately. How does that make sense? Lucky for her I had already looked and saw there was the smallest selection of backpacks so left due to the poor customer service. Left feeling digusted by the interaction.
Worst customer experience and service. Went in with the intention of buying a carry on bag, enquired if they had carry on bags rated to carry more than 7kg because I'd had handles on a previous bag break. She assumed I was complaining about their bags and told me it's my own fault that it broke because I put more than 7kg in it. (That's why I asked if you had any that are rated to carry more.)
One of the staff is very very rude! A middle age lady staff.staff code in receipt is JT28264.this staff unprofessionalism and rudeness can make the store go bankrupt.i also read the reviews, plenty of 1 star reviews complaining about her as well apparently.

The female staff in Chadstone store is so rude. I haven’t even asked her any questions yet, she just told me she is “too busy” and have no time for chit chat.
This is the worst attitude you can have when you speak to a customer. So be warned if you don’t buy anything there, any conversations with her will be labelled as chit chat.
I can understand they maybe understaffed but all she need to do is just service/assist customers at an expected level, if it is too busy then just do whatever you can. There is no need to make customers felt like we are “bothering” her.

Went for a shop on Boxing day to use some vouchers to get new luggage for my America trip and i have never had such a bad experience in my life. Being rejected to sign up to be a member and include their advertised offer in store because it is “too busy” and then have the manager come out and never been talked so down upon in my life. I was understanding that it is busy hence when the manager came out I asked for the easiest solution to have the discount amended but to then be talked to snarky and vulgar because I wanted to return the full price item i bought with no discount did not sit well with me… i do not recommend this store to anyone… too bad I have a gift voucher to use online or they wouldn't have my business
Annabel delivered very good customer service. Explained my mother all range of bags and helped her choosing the right product in a friendly manner. As always Strand bags has awesome products and friendly staff.

The morning before my overseas trip, my suitcase broke. I had to purchase a new one with very little time. Strandbags showed the suitcase I was after as being in stock at only Chadstone so I placed an order for click and collect. I called the store to ask how long click and collect takes. I was told I would get a call back straight away. I called back an hour later and was told they have no stock of what I ordered and no stock in any other style in that size. I had to use my holiday spending money to repurchase another suitcase as I wait for my $772 to be refunded which I’m told will take up to 7 business days! I should never have been charged this in the first place since the store had no stock. They also made no effort to find another store for me that had stock and couldn’t reach customer service to help me either

I visited Strandbags a couple weeks back, looking for a suitable backpack for commuting to and from work. A lovely lady by the name of Sue approached me and provided her assistance. At the checkout, she was so friendly and went above and beyond to make the experience so worthwhile. 10/10 customer service. I was also very pleased with the discount I received due to the sales they were having. Thank you Sue, and thank you to the team at Strandbags.
The Chadstone staff are clueless. Strandbags website advertised 20% off for new member first purchases. I mentioned this at checkout and the staff member gave me a blank stare and said she had no idea what I was talking about. She guessed that it was probably an "online only" offer, and wouldn't look into it further. Turns out the offer was valid both in-store and online.just not to me. Won't be going back!
We went into the store at chadstone just before closing where lots of other store staff wouldn’t take time to help you as they’ve almost finished their shift. We got served by a really lovely Italian lady (I can’t remember her name now) and she was just super accommodating. I kept switching my mind between suitcases and handbags to match and she was just so friendly with genuine care for her customers especially considering that it was the end of her day. Asset to the company! Thank you!:)
Randomly found a wallet, it had a visible mark in the leather from being handled many times while on display, i asked for a discount due to the imperfection, which i think isnt unreasonable, staff quickly concluded it was “part of the leather”, which is a load of crock, it has a indented swirly mark in the leather, anywhos, apparently they aint that interested in moving stock, albeit even at a slight reduction, which i think would have been reasonable, i walked out empty handed. In one way i was testing this shops staffs ability to provide flexible customer service and be reasonable and logical when presented with a product with a imperfection, i was hoping staff would do better and not shun a potential customer, so i guess i wont be buying all my luggage cases from them. Went to Travellershop in the city. Much better.
Had a very pleasant experience from one of the reps name Vicky at Chadstone store. She was extremely helpful and I felt well attended. She has the right attitude to help costumers. Moreover since it was busy time, she was managing 3 customers (including me) with ease and best to her ability. I will definitely go back to her for more shopping. We need people like Vicky in our Australian retail business.

Service was abrupt and rude from 3 different staff members. One of them was helpful but still abrupt.
They also refused to honour their own price match policy. First saying it only applied only online, then that the stores only price matched their own website not competitors. This was despite showing them on their own website where it said it applies online and in store and to competitors.
Won’t go back and wouldn’t recommend, at least not the Chadstone store.
