Poor membership renewal system, Owner has multiple fair work cases lodged against him for not paying staff.avoid this place.

Awesome place. Getting back to exercising after years of sitting on the couch is intimidating, but everyone here has been so supportive and has made the transition so easy and enjoyable

Was charged for a class as soon as I signed up. Seems like a hidden fee. No email response in weeks after multiple follow ups. Not a great way to run a business. I have written confirmation that my friends and I wouldn't be charged until I complete my first class. My friends were refunded, I was not.

The training is fine but the fee and payments side is appalling.
The fee structure forces a year long commitment even though they are closed all of January. Overall there is very little transparency over the charges.

Edit: in response to the owners reply below, I don't think I said anything about contracts, but regardless it is disingenuous to say that you don't have them. If for some reason the document I signed wasn't technically a contract, it was certainly a contract in effect.
The main point was that I was not able to skip the fees for January despite the centre being closed and your payment systems left a lot to be desired.

Look my experience was from 2 years ago so things may well have changed. I would probably have been happy to remove this review if you had asked nicely since it's no longer timely. But now, because you tried to negate it without addressing my main complaints I think I'll leave it up a bit longer.

Myself and my husband come here for the fitness classes. Adam and his team and so friendly and welcoming. All trainers are very encouraging to all in each class. They have a great mix of cardio/interval/weight training classes that you can book into easily on their app. Great new gym with new equipment and comfortable set up. Would 100% recommend to others.

We wanted to find an after school activity for our 7 year old and 3 years later he still is committed and thriving with Master Adam and the team at The Story Centre. It is a well organised and friendly environment and we look forward to taking part in all things the club offers. Highly recommend!

Fantastic centre with A-Grade equipment and fantastic coaches. Great place to train whilst your child is taking part in martial arts classes, highly recommend

My daughter started her Tae Kwon Do sessions with Adam and the team just as she turned 4 and she has loved it. She has not only grown in her endurance, confidence and strength but also listening, taking instructions and patience. Story Centre is a great place for all kids to build those foundational skills. Great family atmosphere, and staff are very supportive and encouraging. My 10 & 13yr love participating in the Taekwondo classes & love the sparring, they have even competed in a few competitions & trained with Olympic athletes!

I’ve been with Story since the beginning and I’ve lost over 50kg! Couldn’t be more happy with the care and passion everybody at Story has for what they do.

This has been the best experience of my life. The training is world class and the instructors are world class; they helped me reach my dream of becoming a black belt at the age of 50. I could not recommend them higher.

Definetly recommend if you are looking for great classes! Master Adam and coach Meg are great with the kids! My kids love it! Real family friendly environment!

Joining Story Martial Arts is one of the best decisions I have ever made. The level of knowledge, support and encouragement that comes along with the club is outstanding. I constantly look forward to my classes and the vibe at the club is truly top notch. I am so thankful for the constant motivation and guidance that Master Adam and Coach Meg bring forth. It makes a world of difference for those that struggle to stay motivated and live a healthy lifestyle. Could not recommend this club enough!

I have loved sending my children to Story Martial Arts. The team are like a second family, always friendly and helpful.
My kids are always excited to go to training. I have loved seeing there progress in all the skills they are learning as well as their behavioural improvements at school and at home.
I have recently started at their gym as well. It's great that the kids and I can both get our exercise done at the same time!

I have always wanted my daughter to learn how to defend herself. We had some trials at some other local martial arts schools and the trainers were quite abrupt and always yelling at the kids. She hated it.

So I was blown away with how much my daughter loved the classes at Story Martial Arts! The staff are fantastic! They learn amazing things and can also have a laugh and bit of fun at the same time!

Not only is it a great martial arts school and a great gym, it's a real community. Its a family run business, Adam and Meg are great and everyone that attends are so lovely and welcoming. You really feel like your apart of something great!

My 7 year old started at Story at the start of this year. She is very nervous on new setting with new people and the Story staff have continued to go above and beyond to ensure she is comfortable and is able to fully participate in classes. The classes are fun and develop skills and confidence.
The centre is great and has a family friendly feel.
They did an amazing job keeping connected during covid with the move online, allowing the kids to keep up with their development.

Our family has been involved with Story Martial Arts for over 2 years. We have enjoyed watching our 3 children grow and learn under Master Adam!

I would definitely recommend Story Martial Arts, Master Adam is amazing with the kids regardless of the skill level.
The kids are taught skill and discipline while enjoying every minute.
