Stonier Wines reviews
25Yummy wine.everyone so nice.i eat a lot of cheese.playlist on fire afternoon of 10/02/24.u should go here too it will delight u.
An incredibly lovely experience super warm and welcoming service, and a very friendly and informative wine tasting! Personally I'm no white wine drinker, but the Stonier Chardonnay suprised the heck out of me and I'm converted! Bought two bottles and enjoyed one of them with a charcuterie board with my partner which was also delicious, sat overlooking the vineyard and enjoying the beautiful atmosphere (kudos to whoever was in charge of the playlist on the afternoon of the 10/02) overall a bloody lovely time spent here and thank you to everyone at Stonier Winery!
Our family went to Stonier for wine tasting. You will be greeted with a very nice view of the winery. We received a very warm welcome from Simon. He is very accommodating and knowledgeable in terms of wine. The ambiance from outside to inside is very cozy and perfect for someone who wants to relax while having wine.
We were very pleased spending our arvo at the place.

Definitely a place worth visiting good wine tasting experience
I visited here as part of my birthday weekend with my partner yesterday and it did not disappoint. Alex was a delight and so personable, and we sampled the best wines the are had to offer, we just had to leave with a bottle. Thanks Alex for sharing your knowledge (and the laughs!)
Simon at the cellar door is an absolute gentlemen, we simply dropped past on a mystery picnic and Simon made for an enjoyable experience, knew the Stonier range extremely well and we thoroughly enjoyed their Pinot Noir….
A fabulous vineyard and so thrilled that we stumbled across it. The staff and atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and generous. We had a fabulous tasting and the wines really were superb - the best Chardonnay I’ve tasted in decades. Thank you - we’ll be back.
A perfect spot to have some wine and one of D. O. C’s cheese charcuterie boxes looking out at the view. We loved our wine tasting in the charming rustic cellar door. And took some lovely wine home. Will definitely be back!
We had a beautiful tasting at Stonier recently. It was just a few weeks after they went back to family owned hands (which they were rightly so proud of).
They went above and beyond to welcome us, we had a beautiful tasting on the deck undercover (was a very hot day) and they even gave us a sneak peak tour at the wine making set up. Lovely wine of course, they offered us wine that wasn’t on the tasting menu that they happened to have open, and there was no rushing us through the tasting. We bought a few bottles and they even sent me away with a bottle of sparkling to celebrate my wedding the next day! I’ve already told so many people and we’ll be back for sure.
Stonier has always been a maker of premium wine, no surprise there. The big surprise is it's now back under family ownership and the change is so noticeable. Friendly service is an understatement. The whole atmosphere is incredibly relaxed, family friendly including the doggo's and aimed at providing the best possible experience. We went for the new "picnic on the lawn" experience and stayed all day, it was just such a beautiful day and welcoming experience.
Such a great wine tasting experience, lovely tasting room and knowledgeable, friendly staff. Did I need more wine? Probably not, did I get more? Of course!
Just stopped off for a catch up and quick glass of wine. Just as good as the last one. Well worth a look and stay.
The best experience you could have in this region. Amazing & tasty variety of wines and most of all, the kindest and most gentle man who served us. We didn’t have much knowledge about wine but he took us through this amazing journey and we were able to take our time to enjoy and taste. The view towards one of their vineyards was also stunning and we had a really good time. The wine was so nice and every sip was a treat. Thank you!
Wouldn't go there again. Much better places in the area with better wine and service. Also charging for wine tasting after a bottle purchase felt like a slap in the face.
We had a wonderful experience here wine tasting with such lovely staff and really special, fine wines - a real stand out winery after our visit to the Mornington Peninsula. We are already planning a return trip for another tasting here to try their whole range of pinots (and the adjacent rail trail)!
Arrived in the morning for a tastings session and was extremely impressed. The winery itself is beautiful, with the rolling hill vineyard in the background. The wine tasting experience was generous and a good all round experience. Highly recommend.
Good wine good service but very disappointed we were charged for the tasting even though we purchased wine
Great services, informative and caring from our hosts. Must visit. The hosts and staffs were wonderful and impressive in their warm hospitality, making our tasting very satisfying experiences. The Pinot noir and Chardonnay are both incredible and great value. Immediately brought six bottles.
We came here as a group of 18 on Saturday, for wine tasting and it was so beautiful. The leaves are stunning in autumn and the Windmill Pinot Noir was the highlight of my day. Thanks for being so accommodating (which I appreciate is especially challenging during COVID), friendly and informative. We'll definitely be back.
Well managed cellar door in a simply beautiful location near the horse dressage course and the ever popular Merricks General Store.
The consistency and quality of Stonier’s wines, and incredibly reasonable prices, make this producer an essential inclusion for any cellar.
Personally the Chardonnay is one of the best value wines in Australia. And for special occasions the Reserve is hard to beat - even from wines with double the price tag.
If by chance you haven’t discovered Stonier’s wines, or visited the cellar door. Do something about it.
We purchased a dozen of the standard Chardonnay at the cellar door on the weekend for under $25 a bottle.
If someone knows a better quality Chardonnay at that price please let me know!
The staff were so friendly and welcoming and took time to talk through all the wine varieties. Lovely gardens, and well set up tasting room. I don't drink but my three friends each left with a bottle, so it must be good!
