Service is the best, staff are friendly fantastic very helpful. Some of the staff specially good in their job. Praise to all staff.

Four of us had lunch here today. 3 of the meals were good. I chose the Calamari as waittress recommend it & said it was very popular. Hated it. Couldn't eat much.expected it to be flash fried & lightly dusted. Not covered in crumbs & deep fried. Ugh. Didn't want to make a fuss as other 3 meals were apparently good.

Steeples provides reasonable food at average prices been there for lunch and dinner a number of times as we live close by. However the TAB area is understaffed with no one available to do pay outs at certain times even when the races are on! As a casual punter I went 4 times to collect a small wager, but couldnt, went to Mornington Hotel no worries, collected they have TAB staff.
We go there now have a meal and a punt

Staff are helpful and happy even when under pressure. If you haven't been my suggestion is go go go.

A beautiful place to have a meal or a drink. Staff working tirelessly under covid conditions. A great credit to them all.

Ordered take away and picked up. Meals were of very high standard and really generous portions.
Everyone in the family enjoyed their meals including the kids!

3 Xmas in July menu flyers handed from staff on arrival.

Every menu item had to be checked with kitchen.

Complete confusion and different responses from different staff members.

"We didn't have that menu tonight"

"YOU can still get the fish, Steak Wellington has run out. "

"No mains still available, sorry! "

"Oh that menu was for M - Friday and the others sold out in 15 minutes. "

"Sorry, food didn't arrive, Xmas in July starting Monday! "

Better value Merchant Lane or restaurants Main street or pubs on beach front

Lovely food and good service. Only allowed 1 1/2 hours for the sitting but disappointed that staff let the next patrons sit near us & chasing us up to move out 15 mins before our time was up. Hour & half is not long for a group dinner but understand the covid rules. Make it fair for everyone.

Would give more stars except another family birthday of a child and guests ran riot, yelling and running amok whilst adults pretended that the kids did not belong to them. Service was good, food good.

Was very disappointed where they sat us out in the back where even though they had heaters on it was very cold where the breeze was blowing through the plastics

Overpriced for mediocre food. Lovely staff, hence the one star. For the overpriced meal zero stars. Definitely not value for money.

Had an issue with an Uber Eats delivery that didn't arrive and Steeples were so helpful in sorting it out when they were not at fault. Thank you Donna. Food was great too!

Food was yummy, staff friendly and attentive! Good selection of local vino. Great offerings for seniors. It's a great local.

After a very average meal, was verbally abused and then physically threatened by three guys looking for a fight on my way out of the venue with my wife and two kids.

Security was completely inadequate - one small male approximately 65kg who did absolutely nothing to step in defuse or in fact anything at all about the situation. Perpetrators were not removed from the venue.

Thanks so much to all your staff for their kindness in particular the waitress who was serving us for Dad's Wake, 27th May. Excellent service.

Fantastic meals much improved from our last visit a few years ago.
The food was so fresh, wait staff were great.
Will definitely be taking our kids there for our next family get together

Great meal, large seniors serve. Be prepared to order on your phone with your credit card though, quite confusing if your not sure how to do it.

Met friends for a coffee and dessert at Steeples on Tuesday after being at the races. Ordered coffee and after waiting at least 30 minutes we needed to order again. Very poor service. BTW it was not busy either

Had a delightful lunch today, the new Stepples is very nice. Great food, great service very thorough with cleaning for covid. We will return. Many thanks.
