Had a tilt door installed by Steel Line about a year ago. For the last 2 weeks, the door has decided to open back up after closing it, which is a security issue for us given we have a toddler that would run out on to the road, plus a dog. We would wake up in the morning to find the garage door was open the whole night when we definitely pressed close at night. Spoke to a lady called Ebony on the phone who assured me it would be followed up. On the 5th time I called Steel Line, I eventually got annoyed and asked how would she feel if this was happening to her home, with a toddler and a dog. She told me she didn't like being spoken down to. If asking her to empathise with me was her idea of being spoken down to, perhaps that explains the shambolic service that occurs there. No one has yet called me to sort this mess. Would NOT recommend.

Purchased a new $2.5k Steel-Line roller door a year ago to replace a 20yo B&D roller door that was getting a bit old and making a lot of noise plus we wanted a colour change. The install process was a shambles with the first installer refusing to do it, weeks later we had another installer reluctantly get the door in who made it quite clear he was not happy to be there as he worked across town. To my shock the new door had multiple dents in it and a couple of scratches. To top it off, the new door made about the same amount of bangs and creaks that the old door did so aside from the colour change, it was a pointless exercise and a complete waste of money. I have spent a year now going back and forth to get this sorted with many so called 'experts' coming out to have a look but to no avail with no correspondence from them in about 3mths now after I was given all the promises to get it fixed. All I can do is help warn others to save yourself the anguish.do not use Steel-Line doors!

We recently had an issue with our garage door with a worn out spare, tried to call their spare part service and was advise they didn't make the model anymore which is fair enough. Asked if there any alternative options available, and advised they couldn't help and was dismissive. Went in person to try and better understand my options, the staff was once again dismissive and said they couldn't help. I suggest focusing more customer experience and after sales support. If you can't replace the spare at least offer a service offering to replace the unit and not let your customers walk out the door with no guidance.

I bought the garage door from steel line 20 years ago. I ask a chain index and they answer back that they never seen one of those and did nt even want to check if they have something similar at 30mm or even give me one different with the bracket. I bought one online and did my job. Never buy from them as you will end up with no after sale support

We love our steel line garage door and when our door needed some fine tuning a technician was sent out asap. Would highly recommend steel line to anyone. Extremely courteous staff at all levels.
