StayCentral NGV Arts Centre Retreat - Southbank

Our family of 4, including 2 kids, stayed at this apartment for about 3 months. The location is great, with a tram stop right in front and a Woolworths nearby. The view is beautiful, but opening the windows can be noisy because of the nearby motorway. Even with the windows closed, we could still hear some noise at night, which might bother people who need a quiet sleep. The dining table wasn't very steady, especially for kids. Overall, it was a nice place for our long stay, and the people managing it were really good.

I have a great appreciation for the time and effort Chris MacDonald put into fixing a major miscommunication. First off Chris and I thought that the reservations for my apartment had been completed. Unfortunately, after traveling from the Eastern part of the United States, I arrived in Melbourne with no reservations. Having to use a housekeeper's phone Chris was patient and was focused on helping me find an apartment. He took the time on Saturday to personally meet me in person. Initially we found one apartment, but I would have to move mid-way through my stay. Chris stayed on the problem and arranged for not only for me to have an apartment but also, I DID NOT HAVE TO MOVE MIDWAY THROUGH MY STAY! Chris went above and beyond, and I am deeply appreciative of his efforts to make this stay work.

Nice view with good location (Southbank), convenient to take tram/train to other sightseeing places, near Casino and skydeck. Everything in the apartment feel like at home, it was the reason I choose it rather than hotel.

Stay Central Apartment on Southbank was absolutely fantastic lm staying 8 days l was very happy with the whole apartment it has everything you need, it’s spacious, great view, clean, a bonus of having a car park was brilliant thank you

Located in arts precinct. This apartment has everything you need. Well maintained and very close to the city with tram stop just outside the building.
Host Chris is very responsive and quick to rectify any issues or queries. Downstairs coffee shop makes great coffees and ideal to take upstairs to the terrace and take in the view on a sunny day. Would definitely stay again

Great apartment, in a cool and central location. We really enjoyed our stay with our dog and would go back in a heartbeat. Highly recommended, it is close to the Freeway but it didn’t worry us. An undercover carpark comes with the apartment and it is safe and secure. Great place.

Clean beautiful flat and very responsive host. I had work at the NGV and couldn’t have asked for a better location. Enjoyed the night view and the nice balcony as well. Restaurants and cafes nearby

Stayed here for 1mth as I relocated back from overseas. Great place in a very convenient location. StayCentral were very responsive and professional. Excellent pool and apartment was well equipped and clean and tidy. Would definitely stay again!

Stayed in this apartment as a treat for my family. It was dirty and disgusting with cat hairs spread all over the entire apartment. Cat hairs on the chopping board, in the bath, on the cushions, on the sofa, on the pillows and on the bed. The bath was so dirty my wife could not have a bath! The Sofa had food, hair, crumbs, food residue on it. On the floor I found a toe nail and bits of fruit, see pic attached. The glass windows and sliding doors were not even clean, they had stains on the exterior and the interior of the glass. When I called to complain about this, Chris apologised which is normal, but then the cleaner accused me of making the mess and demanded to know why I hadnt told her about the dirt when I checked in. She then proceeded to threaten to charge my bond money deposit if she had to travel to the apartment to clean up my mess. I explained to her I didnt think I had to do a pre checkin inspection, as I expected the apartment to be clean. Because we had just stayed at the Meriton Suite Apartments in Brisbane and Sydney which were cleaned properly, I foolishly assumed this place would be clean. The extraction fans in the bathrooms were so dirty, they looked like they had never been cleaned. Ever. The dirt on the sliding doors looked years old. There was no possible way we could make this kind of dirt in 1 day. See photos and make up your own mind

We are all very pleased with our stay at Stay Central NGV Appartments.
The Appartment is quiet, clean and spacious and has all the comforts of home too! The beds are especially very cosy and comfortable. The balcony is a bonus space: look out and see Melbourne’s amazing city scape from your living room, amazing! There is an indoor heated lap pool and gymnasium for all guests to utilise.great amenities. Melbourne CBD, Southbank and all its amazing eateries, NGV, Arts Centre and Melbourne concert Hall are just outside your doorstep. Situated in the hub of Melbourne’s Arts precinct, you’ll never want to leave! A must Stay.

I had an exceptional time.
Comfortable beds. Lovely furnishings. Fast wifi. Quite neighbours. Great view.

Stayed in this place for 4-nights during 2017 New Year's. Perfect for family or couple get-away. It's a really essence of home away from home. The place is ultra-chic, spacious, tidy and have got of the most things we need during our stay. It's 3-blocks to Crown casino; very convenient to public transpo, trams stops right in front of the building and within striking walking distance to most amenities. But most importantly we feel safe and it has a lock-up and secured carpark. Will stay here again and will highly recommend to anyone.
