Starfish Early Learning Centre - Nunawading

I have two children attending starfish, both love attending and often don't want to leave. All of the educators who care for my children are wonderful, they are professional, dedicated and very caring. The staff are extremely warm and genuine, always open to questions, and able to make valuable suggestions. I especially enjoy the photos that are taken throughout the day which show the days adventures and the portfolio of their work which is provided at the end of the year as a wonderful keepsake. My children are respected and activities are often built around their observed interests. Both my children have developed strong bonds with their carers which has enhanced their self esteem and confidence. I sincerely recommend this centre to others looking for a high quality childcare centre that really feels like an extension of family.

Starfish Early Learning Centre Nunawading provides a supportive, safe and fun environment for all children. Our son has been there 4 days a week for the past 18 months and we could not be happier. The carers are in tune with his needs and not only have gained his trust but ours as well.
All meals are prepared daily on site and there is lots of variety for our son to try. Pasta dishes are always a winner with him!
Debbie and her team are extremely competent and accommodating and always try to assist with whatever need we have. There is always lots of entertainment for the children and assistance when he is being needy. We feel very grateful that our son is in such great hands.

The Carers at Starfish Nunawading have looked after my son full time since he was 5 months old. In the beginning, they were asked to maintain the strict 3 page routine I had placed him in which they did extremely well. He is now 2 years old and still there loving it, he doesn't want to leave when I pick him up because he has so much fun there. He has grown into a confident, well adapted little boy with advanced speech skills and I am positive that I can attribute some of that to the great care and education he receives at Starfish Nunawading.
I know that the food is prepared at extremely high standards as I had a child transition from purely milk to solids and they had no issue allowing this pedantic mother tour the kitchen unannounced and spend time with their chef going through recipes to make me comfortable that nothing was given to him that was unhealthy. No recipe had anything questionable, everything was extremely healthy and my son enjoys many serves of lunch each day.
I would highly recommend this center to anyone nervous of leaving their little ones in child care.

Utterly incompetent and greedy management.

We had our child there for 3 days of the week, and 2 days at his old daycare. He wasn't ever really happy about going here, and even after he did settle, he still didn't want to go because of other children bullying, and carers yelling.

Decided to leave, gave 2 weeks notice in writing, and was told by the staff the last day of attendance. Low and behold, on the last day itself, we were charged 2 weeks worth of care from our account.
