38Great atmosphere.enjoy a wine relaxed ambience and it's our local theatre. They show movies that our larger cinema do not. Dine on a Friday night or just have a few cocktails in the chambers. We are so lucky to have this independent cinema experience here in Eaglehawk VIC.

The Star is an amazing community run movie theatre in the historical Eaglehawk Town Hall. With very comfy separate longes for two people. You can buy a traditional Choc Top ice cream too. Ticket was $15. A very enjoyable unique experience! Thanks to all the volunteers and all the donors that gave the $ to buy the lounge furniture. Well done thanks!
We have loved going to The Star for many years because of the great building, atmosphere, movie choices and the comfy couches which you can drink your wine in just like gold class!
What has added to the experience is the opening of the Chambers wine bar for food and drinks on a Friday night. I can't rave highly enough about this one stop venue for a night out, just fabulous!

James is an asset to this cinema. He is always so welcoming and happy to have a nice chat with us after the movie. The other volunteers are so friendly too. It is so nice to see quality movies in Bendigo with a glass of red on a comfy couch

Another 'must visit' experience in Eaglehawk. Set in the old town hall. Book a couch or enjoy the view from the balcony. Licenced venue. Friendly staff. Easy parking. Great mixture of screening options. Tonight? '68 Hollywood Bowl - The Doors. Magnificent!

Just a shame you can't get food other than pre packed stuff due to covid restrictions when though we don't have any cases.
A wonderful old cinema that deserves support. Comfortable couches proved very relaxing and the heating worked well on a cold night. Thoroughly recommended.
Took hubby to the Star on Saturday night to see “motherless Brooklyn”. Such a great place to see a movie, lounging on sofas, drinking wine and eating snacks. It is so comfortable and relaxing with a great feel about it. Eaglehawk are so lucky to have this excellent asset in it Main Street. The movie was very good too
