St Vincent's Private Hospital, Melbourne ,East Melbourne reviews
64I wanted to say a big thankyou to the staff at this hospital. I was there today for a ct guided biopsy. The male nurse J.was lovely. Also Darcy the radiologist was exceptional, went above and beyond his role- thankyou so much for your kindness and generosity Darcy. It was so appreciated. Thankyou also to Dr Smith. He was most professional and meticulous, whilst at the same time human! As someone who has worked in the health sector, you guys were ten out of ten. Well done and keep up the great work. We need more professionals like you in healthcare.
My son aged 6 had a Adenotonsillectomy which required an overnight stay. The Children's ward was cheerfully decorated in a dinosaur theme which also included a games area. The nurses were lovely and very thorough. We had a lovely experience. A great hospital and a fantastic Children's ward.
Had surgery and a fantastic 5 night stay on the 4th floor. All the staff were extremely professional, very friendly and make sure you are comfortable. Everything went very smoothly from start to finished and I always felt informed about what was happening. Food is delicious and room service is definitely a highlight. No negatives, only thing to mention is that tvs in room only have standard channels, so bring your own laptop if you want Netflix, Stan, Prime etc.
I had such amazing and caring nurses while I was in recovery after a major abdominal surgery! I was extremely weak after surgery so the nurses even poured my water for me in my glass? I had sam, vanessa, Adele, Anne, Aaron, celine, Harriet and rosie - all absolute gems
Had a sleep study done last night and highly recommended to anyone with private health insurance amazing staff and really easy to communicate with.
Amazing. Our 5 year old had day surgery and we could not have asked for better quality care from all the nurses on the kids ward. Caring, sympathetic and made you fully aware of what was happening each step of the way.
Nurse Sig was so good.
Keep up the magnificent work.
I just had shoulder surgery and an overnight stay here. Can't fault them. Every worker in the hospital were polite and professional from the minute i walked through the doors. The food was good too!
I had major hip surgery a week ago.
Down to the surgeons, anaesthetist, nurses, orderlies, kitchen staff, cleaners couldn’t ask for a better crew. All beyond helpful, caring, mannerisms, they all work equally hard in their working fields. I know I appreciated everyone of you & thank you. Feeling this has helped with my surgery /recovery feeling non anxious & so comfortable. You all rock & are definitely passionate about your jobs.
The only negative I would say it’s that hot you feel like you are in Bali, as a hospital which is not looking after your number 1’s your workers who are running around, something that needs to be looked at.
The inconsistency/confusion of visitors of front desk not knowing
I delivered my second baby in St Vincent's private hospital Fitzroy. The staff that was there to help me during the delivery was very rude.
Because there was no rule about a camera on their website, we thought we could take few photos and videos during the delivery. But as soon as the midwife saw the camera she got mad and said " I don't need you to record my work? ". We wanted to take photos and videos of our precious little bubs arrival, NOT TO RECORD A STRANGER. If they do their job correctly, why so much fear for a camera?
I delivered my first in Brisbane and the staff helped us to record everything. WHAT A DIFFERENCE.
When I was having strong contractions, they wanted me to stay still. I understand for an epidural it's important to stay still. But why can't they wait patiently for few seconds until the contraction goes away? Is it so hard to be kind?
Even though mine was a scheduled induction, I had to wait in the birthing room for about 5 hours after the delivery because of insufficient rooms in maternity unit.
I only stayed for 3 days, and for those 3 days, they asked us to change our room 3 times. Just think about packing and unpacking our bags so many times.
All the other staff in the maternity unit was really helpful and kind. That's why I give 3 stars not 1 star.
If I could give this hospital a 10 star rating I would everyone here has been incredible from the amazingly kind and sweet nurses to my amazing surgeon professor Briggs and a massive praise to my anaesthetist Dr Mal Tyers who not only explained everything but kept me completely calm and at ease as he was putting me to sleep and even came and saw me on the ward afterwards which I found to be so kind overall if you need to have surgery this is the place to do it I could not thank everyone enough for all they did for me
Disgusting you guys didn't release the records of someone who died under your care for PR damage, so much for humanity. What happened to the doctors oath, is it a corporate oath these days?
I was in yesterday to have my ankle surgery, I was amazed on how respectful and very professional everyone were. From the receptionist all the way to the surgeon but mainly my nursing team. I can’t thank everyone enough for making me feel comfortable and safe during my time at St V
Excellent care, excellent facilities, excellent food, totally brilliant hospital.
Highly recommend.
I was in hospital Monday 27th 2022 getting Nasal surgery. The staff was fantastic.very friendly and did an excellent job. From Barbara Heath anaesthetist, Dr Dahm surgeon, Clair, Linda and others. Thank you.
Have a great week. If the SEO guy or who checks these reviews please pass this on to staff.
Hospital and the nursing staff were kind and polite during my stay.
Unfortunately the little man in the Cafe is rude and rather a smart arse to visitors. Shame such filth works at this Hospital.
Ive waited from 12am in the emergency and stayed til 1pm next day and they dont want to give me food at all. Very disappointed.
My 22montha baby had adenoidectomy done and it was all good about the service food and surgeon Randal Leun but only one thing i felt they should really change is the sofa in the baby rooms, obviously after the procedure the baby wants mummys cuddle and lay on mothers arm, so the mum should have a good seat for comfort, i was whole time very discomfort and my back hurts a lot. So i think they should really have a good resting seat at baby ward in the rooms.
Thanks to the nurses for great service indeed Dr Randal Leun
Great staff who work really hard to keep you comfortable.got my first proper surgery here and felt safe and well looked after. Recommend this joint.
Such kind and lovely staff. Keep me calm before my elbow surgery and were so caring. No issues whatsoever. Open to all questions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
My wife is still admitted in the maternity ward and going through immense stress and depression and frustration because of few mean midwives who said that to her and my crying newborn that “We are too busy, we can’t help you. Take an early discharge and go home. ”
How disgusting and sad that midwife would be say something so low to someone in pain.
