Sadaf Khan made it very clear in the two minutes that I saw her, that she was not interested in helping me and just wanted me gone. I did not stay long. I was admitted around 2pm and left some 30 minutes ago (7: 15). I have never felt like less of a human being as I did today in the ED at st Vincent’s. I have been tremendously upset for quite some time. My parents decided to take me to st Vincent’s today as I’ve been finding it harder and harder to respond/communicate with people. The staff who saw me today were completely unprofessional and under qualified. With the exception of Alyssa Quigley, she was trying so hard to make me feel comfortable and I really appreciate her efforts. All other members of staff handled me like an animal. I felt like an animal under their care and super vision.

It's a very dirty place particularly t ground floor beds and couches and pyschiatric staff were torturers abusive and vilifying toward me I don't recommend this hospital at all!

I received good care here when i was suicidal and was treated with respect.i was nervous to be in the ED because i'd never been before and was scared i'd be dismissed and seen as low-risk because i could speak intelligibly. They listened, believed me, and held space for me. Thanks

When I presented to the ER for being suicidal they discharged me on the street when I was still suicidal. When I came back the mental health worker was interrogating me like a cop and told someone outside my cubicle "she says she wants to comit suicide but I don't think she's going to do it" and wrote "narcissistic and manipulative" on my discharge report.

I'm alive because these wonderful people exist.
Firstly I can't believe you're allowed to "rate" a FREE mental health crisis centre (all the 1 stars are from people in crisis so of course their life is 1 star.why else would they be here?)
Secondly.you guys rule. I can't thank you enough

My daughter was admitted under the MH ACT. I didn't realise how much nurses hate people with MH issues - Nurse in Charge, Kadell for one. They hate their respective families as well. I found this mental health service to be very toxic. Very sad for complex needs patient's who are the most in need. Stigma is hard enough let alone being stigmatised, ridiculed, screamed at, called names and tossed out by a service. Not much hope given here.

I concur with the statement by Simon. This place is awful and the staff seem pretty complacent. You can stand at the reception desk for ages and even though they can see you, no one attends to you. They don't pick up their phones either. Have called a number of times and no one picks up. Too bad if you have something important to tell a patient.
