St Rose

There are cafes, and then there is St Rose. The coffee is impeccable, the service is top-notch, and the food is simply incredible. St Rose has captured something which is an afterthought for some places - The Good Vibes! Highly recommended!

Food was ok. They give you a steak knife and for good reason because the toast could break a window. The coffee was lukewarm but good quality. The place is tiny and the outside area cramped but it had heaters. Service was great though!

What we ordered was ok for a lunch time bite, but their menu online was different to the actual current menu which was disappointing because my group picked this place based on the online menu.

Hard to find a good local when you're at work, but St Rose became just that - I'm find myself there even when I'm not working. Great menu offerings from something small to a tummy filler along with great drink options as well. But what makes this cafe stand out, is the awesome service from their staff - I feel like I'm catching up with an old friend whenever I walk in. Highly recommended!

Buzzing cafe with a relaxed vibe. Friendly service staff, great barista and a great all day brekky menu. Their Chilli Scrambled Eggs were sensational.

All time favourite. Amazing coffee and food.fast service. Recommend this place if you're looking for a good coffee before catching the train

I have eaten at every cafe in Essendon and its neighbouring suburbs and nothing comes close to St. Rose. I don't know how they do it but the food is just magical.

I have rated St Rose 5 stars as we’ve been fans of the food. Unfortunately when we got a thick shake delivered that was only 1/3 of the shake the response was that that is how it should be. It’s disappointing as we’ve had it before and know the order wasn’t correct.
2 stars have been deducted due to the way an issue was handled that could have easily been resolved.

The worst chicken wrap ever.
Spinach, boiled chicken (not grilled at all), and mayo.

Great tasting and well presented avocado on toast. Can you make the toast such that it isn't a struggle to cut it with the knife. Not sure if the knife was blunt or the toast a bit too well done to cut with the knife.
Also, is it possible to introduce more vegetarian options.

Here for breakfast. Come early as it fills up fast. Açai bowls tasty. I’m told the breakfast roll was good - would have preferred the egg to be runny/ooze out. Coffee nice, but a bit too Luke warm for my preference.

Love St Rose. Been going for years for my coffee fix in Essendon and lately loving their ham, cheese & tomato crossiants. The best I've had in the area. Obviously their other food items are great too, keep up the good work St Rose.

Excellent service, attentive and friendly. The food was perfect, I had the falafel bowl and enjoyed the balance of flavours.
My iced coffee was delicious and the decor is light and cheerful.

Such a lovely cafe to visit! Loved the colour theme and pretty decor.

My partner and I came here on a Friday afternoon and the cafe was busy! Always a fantastic sign.

We shared the absolutely epic Cereal Offender Pancakes. Wow.milo pancakes! Say no more.

We also had the Sautéed Greens and Eggs Benny which were both delicious and packed with flavour.

Shout out to the super friendly staff!

Chilli Scrambled Eggs

St Rose was founded by a husband and wife duo in 2013 and has been a go to spot for most in the Essendon area. The cafe is always buzzing busy however I have never struggled to get a table.

They have a pretty great menu which caters to a slightly healthier customer but also the sweet tooth. Ngl I gave my partner a funny look when he chose to order something so simple as the Golden Keto Eggs but he enjoyed it and he felt good eating good

Even though I really wanted to try their famous Lemon Meringue Porridge, I ended up going more savoury with my favourite Chilli Scrambled Eggs. I was happy with my decision, it was delicious with a good kick of chilli as well as chorizo, broccoli and pesto folded in (however this has since changed).

They also have a pretty big drink selection of smoothies (protein ones too), thick shakes, freshly squeezed juices and of course coffees. I highly recommend the Oreo Thickshake, it so good, not too sweet.

Used to go here a lot when worked close by. Visited again this morning still a Really nice breakfast, great staff, and a beautiful morning to sit out the front and watch the world pass by.

Pathetic cafe with pathetic service. If you want to wait unreasonable wait times only for your order to be stuffed up 95% of the time, this is the place for you! Dont waste your time, they used to be good, but are now just a joke.
