St LuJa Whisk(e)y & Cocktail Bar

Beautiful art-deco bar near the beach. It has sort of a vintage-bar-for-midcentury-spies vibe. The coctails are great and the barista is really savvy. One of the best negronis of this town.

Awesome experience. Went for our anniversary afters dinner and the vibe was cool as. Decor is 10/10. Love the space. James was full of knowledge and helped pick cocktails based on what spirits we like. Even ones we didn’t and loved the drinks he created. Will always return for a drink whenever we are in town. Great place!

Every time I walk through the door of St LuJa, I sigh.this place is so beautiful, the cocktails are original and delicious, the service is ALWAYS amazing. I definitely put it in my top five cocktail Bars in Melbourne.not because it's glitzy or exclusive, but because it has heart and a little touch of the Irish in its DNA.

Great location near the tram stop and beech. Food and service was top class. A very welcoming atmosphere from good staff. They serve a lovely pint of Guinness. Look forward to coming back.

Charming, intimate art deco decor and the highest caliber cocktails, served by a knowledgeable, engaging team who are fun to talk to. What could be better? The Tasmanian oysters and fries are a perfect accompaniment. James, the bartender who runs the place, is a great storyteller who makes the best whiskey cocktails with unlikely combinations (I hadn’t had mezcal with whiskey but it was delicious). And on a cold-ish winter night the fire in the fireplace made it even more cozy. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Melbourne.

Sarah and her team helped us put together a great engagement (surprise wedding) party. The food was fantastic and the drinks impeccable.

In the words of a typical millennial, it was a whole vibe. It was perfect.

The special Tommy Margarita on arrival is the best to start your night journey! Between thirsty Thursday and Sunday Funday every week is a plenty of time ot get your boots down to StLuJa bar and have an amazing experience! Mr. James, the great bartender, will make you the best margaritas in town!

Can't walk past this place without going in for a cocktail! Their list is fantastic, but they are also extremely knowledgeable and will suggest drinks based on what you like. Do yourself a favour and get here quick.

The owners Sarah and James are the funniest people ever, great for a chat, it doesn’t hurt that they make fantastic cocktails as well.

Absolute gem of a bar! Nice relaxing atmosphere, music is not loud, great place to sit, sip, and chat. Did I mention the cocktails are absolutely top shelf? James, the owner and bartender, is very welcoming and great to talk to as well, plus he makes killer drinks. Cheers!

Slightly grimey, leather heavy, Art Deco bar with decent cocktails, but slow service. I guess those cocktails are worth the wait.
