I highly recommend not going here unless you’re an older mum, the lady I was talking to did nothing but put everything on my age it made me feel worse until I spoke to older mums who reassured me that they have all felt the same way that during parenthood and that it was normal to want to do better. She had absolutely no understanding of toddlers and how they don’t like to sit down doing nothin for however long the appointment was especially when they’re over tired it’s not because I don’t know how to handle her it’s because she’s a bored child. She definitely shouldn’t have a qualification to “help” people, she did nothing but made me worse!

DO NOT USE THESE SERVICES!

I am extremely appalled at the so called Psychiatrist I saw. I used these services hoping to get help an assistance through a difficult time. Bulk billing was ideal but that came at a detrimental cost. I felt like I wasn’t listened to or taken seriously, instead the focused on my past treatment and therefore was far too quick to try and prescribe medication. Their focus was not at all on my wellbeing and how to cope with my current situation, it was to medicate. This was made obvious in every session when it was brought up. I only had a handful of sessions before I saw the need to get a second opinion elsewhere.

The “doctor” spent more time talking in my sessions than I did. I was made to wait far past my appointment time and my sessions were even cut short. I felt like I was set up for failure and that the “psychiatrist” expected me to have postpartum depression even before I gave birth. I felt like I was being set up for failure.

Medication isn’t going to help if it isn’t accompanied by good, constructive therapy and coping techniques. Something this “psychiatrist” lacked.

Seeking help is a big deal and takes a lot of strength. This is not the place to seek help. These practices can cause more damage than good. Do your research and find somewhere that is reputable.
