I cannot speak highly enough of St John of God Frankston. The Nurses, physiotherapists, occupational Therapists, kitchen and cleaning staff were both professional and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble to any of the staff. Physio was through and encouraging. The meals were magnificent and the choices wonderful. The outside garden delightful to sit in. I cannot speak highly enough. I am about to continue my rehabilitation as an outpatient. Thank you for your care.

Unfortunately, the service and attention from the clinic is not great. Was referred for support surrounding chronic back pain. The specialist pain doctor decided an introductory 15 minute phone call was enough for him to know what's been going on the past 10+ years and created a plan to have 24 sessions of both physio and hydrotherapy.

Referred me to get a MRI scan and hasn't seen it nor gotten back to my phone calls to further discuss the set out plan. Expected much more from a private service that charges $440 a week for the recommended therapies that you can engage in locally for cheaper. Really disappointing.

My wife who has been referred by her oncologist for exercise classes has been trying for six weeks to book an appointment. Despite being told that someone would ring her back it has not happened todate. The service is appalling and she is still trying to make an appointment.
This is no way to treat a potential client

A fabulous facility in our community. I have been an inpatient twice now; recently for 2 weeks post knee operation. The outpatient care is also great, although I know they've been struggling, as we all have, during the Covid outbreak. The care from the nursing staff, doctors and Physio teams is fantastic. Hospital food isn't the greatest these days, as it's catered in. Not here. The food is excellent & delivered by a happy, friendly team. Thank you to everyone who cared for me & congratulations on operating a wonderful caring facility.

I have just spent 13 days in St John of God, Frankston after a complete knee replacement and I cannot speak highly enough of all aspects of my care. The nurses were friendly and efficient- the food was great- the physio program - 2 half hour sessions per week day and one each day on the weekend - has helped me become very independent already. I would like to thank them all. Regards, Carol Hopwood.

I went to sjog rehab I arrived there on a Monday afternoon by 2.30 on Tuesday afternoon. I had had enough 2 of the nurses only to find other areas lacking in help. The OT and physio department was the only ones that where willing to help you. There are other issues that are to numerous to put down. My suggestion is pick some other Rehab place. Stay away from sjog rehab Frankston. I was in there in September and medically I’m still getting over it. And that is having to stay in my hometown hospital for 2 1/2 weeks after getting home for 2 day.

Have just completed a 20 week outpatient physio & hydro treatment after an ankle replacement.
Can not speak highly enough of all the staff there. Everyone was always so positive, friendly, supportive & very very knowledgeable.
Special mention to the wonderful Giselle, to Sam, Adele & Harrison who also had input on some of my days. Also in the pool the lovely Lorraine, Chloe & all the other ‘water babies’ just such lovely people.
Definitely recommend physio after an operation.

I transported a patient - who is a friend - to St John of God (SJOG) Rehab in Frankston a couple of weeks ago. Compared to other hospital environments, the difference at SJOG is palpable. As I wheeled my friend to reception then through the ward, every single encounter with SJOG personnel - from reception to chance encounters in the corridors - resulted in friendly smiles and welcoming greetings from staff.

The facilities are of a very high standard and the rooms admit soft, natural light.

Given patients may arrive in a state of heightened anxiety after the trauma of an injury and/or surgery, one could not land in a better place than SJOG.

Above all, the staff make all of the difference in the world - they are responsive, respectful, approachable and sympathic.

It's the high standard of care which really differentiates this facility.

I have just completed a rehab program as an outpatient ar St John of God Frankston after a total knee replacement in August.
My local physio, Jorgen Forsberg told me about SJOG ‘s program so I am very grateful for that!

I have really enjoyed my personal treatment from physio, Kylie who has been amazing and tailored a program enabling me to make steady improvement. I am thrilled with my progress and results. Thanks also to the wonderful, friendly staff at the Hydrotherapy pool, Brigitte, Kym and Adele to name a few.

I am now ready to undertake a self managed program at PARC, prepared and referred by Kylie.
Thanks SJOG

As a visitor for nearly three weeks I was very surprised by the quality of of the staff, from all departments. They were all amazing, every time you saw one you are greeted with a smile and nothing was too much trouble for any of them. The nurses were exceptional with their compassion and caring. A lot of other hospitals could take a leaf out of their book. If StJoG uses an employment agency then I suggest other hospitals find out who they use.
The only reason I didn't give them a 5 star rating is because the hospital is being refurbished next year and the finished product will place them well and truly at the top of the tree.
