St James Park reviews
20"The cleanliness and upkeep of this park are commendable. The park authorities ensure that the grounds are well-maintained, the pathways are clear, and the facilities are clean, providing a pleasant and hygienic environment for visitors. "
Beautiful park lined with trees. Shame some dog owners don't pick up their dog poo. Kids play footy there.
Nice garden with playground, monument, and some chairs to enjoy cool breezy air
Perfect place to relax body & mind
Lovely park for dogs to run around. Gets very muddy though (positive for dogs but not so much for their humans!)
Love the suburb footy oval where you can park behind the goals and watch from your car. Even better when the ball hits a car
This ordinary local park is friendly for most outdoor activities, such as jogging, running, group fitness, dog walking and sports teams.
Beautiful European trees surround a well-designed art decor war memorial. There’re plenty of chairs to sit in watching the sunset sunrise.
There’s a public toilet, a thumb up compared to many smaller parks.
It is a really nice park in of medium size. The public toilet was closed for renovation, causing quite a bit of inconvince to all of us who went there for a nice picnic.
Just a local park but completely resonant of this part of Melbourne.
Laid out on a mild slope, there's a footy ground with pavilion at the lower end, a landscaped section with paths & deciduous trees in the middle, and a very dignified war memorial & bowls club at the higher end. Oh, and a very good milk bar / cafe on one side.
Kids, dogs, joggers, afternoon strollers, sports teams and people simply sitting reading the papers all manage to happily coexist, collectively enjoying the chilled vibe.
My go to place for an afternoon constitutional stroll
A recreation centre and place of relaxation and dog walking, with beautiful mature native and exotic trees provided plenty of shade at any time of day. Public toilets open sunrise to sunset via Barton St, under the footy / cricket oval amenities building. Conveniently located at stop St James Park/Burwood Rd stop #25 on Yarra Trams Route 75 (outbound from City) [Stop ID 20778]. Image subject to copyright.
Great spacious park with garden to relax, walk or exercise and play sport on the oval. Nice quiet park near shops
Love catching up here to meet in a small group so we can still maintain social distances during the Covid 19 restrictions
WHAT A GREAT PLACE TO RELAX AND FOR THE DOGS TO RUN
I am/was a patint at Epworth Hawthorn. An easy walk and the pedestrain lights at the tram stop make it easy and safe to cross the road.
My beautiful wife brought along our puppies along Archie & Molly and they had the best time.
St James Park, Hawthorn is a well maintained and beautiful park nestled within Burwood Road, Barton, Denham and Hill Streets. It is a dog friendly park with The Fowler Pavilion & oval on the east and children's playground on the west. The Fine Algerian Oak and relocated/replanted Palm tree (originally located near the lawn bowls club house) are flourishing and looks great.
Nice local park with a football oval. Good for walking. Has a nice tree lined avenue and small playground.
Located on Burwood Road, this is a lovely small park that most people who drive by don't even take a look at. It's full of large trees and plenty of greenery. There is a playground on the Wood Street end which the kids adore and the parents who can get a break and chat with grown ups.
Note that you can only park in either Wood Street or Denham Street.
Disabled friendly. Kid friendly. Toilets available.
Enjoy.
Beautiful, peaceful gardens.lit at night along path in winter.feel safe walking the dog after dark
Great oval but was most impressed by the rest of the the park. Good paths, playground, mature trees, seating and open green areas to enjoy.
A good local place that's mostly full of happy people exercising mostly in the later part of the day.
Great park with oval and a hill with large trees. Dogs off leash on oval. Good views to the East from the hill.
