St Helena Secondary College reviews
31I personally did not like this school very much. I found that there is a lot of bullying at st Helena in all year levels but the teachers do nothing about it. I feel the teachers care more about the uniform then the learning itself as this is just how I feel. The well-being support group didn’t help me on any way and I found that they just said it’s ok and sent me back to class without helping me. I personally think this school was not suitable for me and if u are the type of person that wants a chill school then this is not the fit for u in my opinion. I’m not hating on the school in any way just by my experience but the subjects and learning curriculum is great as I found!
I went here from year 7-12, and it was absolutely amazing. I’m definitely going to send my kids here when theyre older.
I have decided to send my son to this amazing school. I am so impressed by the school culture and it’s aim to assist every student to be they best they can be no matter what their abilities. I’m looking forward to seeing my son prosper and grow at this bright and shining secondary school.
These reviews are so funny, made my night.thank you for making this school for people just to write reviews like this there hilarious.anyway have a good day.
Such a supportive environment for the students, great communication, and very dedicated staff! Their technology is so modern 1: 1 very good social media presence. It is clear that St Helena really cares about their students and their learning! Thank you for your dedication to our young people!
I can't wait for the constructions to be finished.especially the toilets'. Very cool this is happening.
Amazing school! Extremely supportive and caring staff, fabulous communication and amazing opportunities on offer.circumstance has me with 4 kids at 4 different schools and St Helena definitely goes above and beyond.
A big thank you to St Helena!
Your response during the current situation has been state of the art. The use of Microsoft Teams and OneNote have meant that the students could easily learn from home without missing out of valuable curriculum.
Great Q&A tonight. Like all the work and effort the teacher and staff have put in. Great communication on return to school.
I would like to commend St Helena for their prompt and detailed communication during the Covid-19 crisis. The transition to remote learning was smooth and with little technical fault. Such a supportive school and positive learning environment.
I have had the pleasure of coordinating Debutante events at St Helena Secondary College for the last 17 years. Each group of students has been wonderful to direct, and a pleasure to spend time with. This is a credit to their families, their school, their school community and their supportive school principals. During this awful time teachers and the principal have
Worked hard to assist students with distant learning and even have checked in on me. Thank you to St Helena, I await the next debutante ball in October can’t wait to work together with the students, families, the community who will support the students and the whole teaching staff and of course the Principal. Welcome back students.
Thankful for all the work and effort the school, its leaders and teachers have put into the remote learning for Term 2. We have a wonderful community supporting each other during these interesting times.
Love the vibe and community at SHSC. The teachers are all very knowledgeable and have great relationships with each other.
Two children at ST Helena - very happy with the care of the teachers during the covid crisis and how the school has managed online learning!
I have nothing but praise for St Helena.
My Children both attended SHSC with the last leaving some 9 years ago.
I was council president during my time there and after a few years not being involved with the school, I wanted to give back to the community.
What better way than going back on council as a community member. What I have experienced the last 3 years only confirms that SHSC is a great school to send your kids.
The school motto “Dare to be Excellent” says it all.
Excellence at its best.
They dont care about students mental health as they only care about a students coloured socks or piercings.
Complaing about uniform and things like kj e that does n o t help
I found teacher are good
Very resourceful school
So the rest is up to students
After all it is public schools
Student h as to ma k e t h e most out of it a n d it is really up to students as what they want to achieve
There is a lot of unfair treatment and racist teachers again a lot of unfair teachers
but otherwise it is good
St Helena secondary collage cares more about its reputation than their students.students are strained and despite an abundance of education regarding mental health and preventions, the school overloads it’s students.some of the teachers even go as far as disregarding the students special provisions. The teachers care more about the uniform than the education itself.do not send your kids here.
The end of a term provides an opportunity to both reflect and plan ahead. In reflecting on the past term, our first in Australia after our arrival from South Africa mid-year, we certainly cannot let this pass without saying a VERY BIG THANK YOU to all the teachers and staff at St Helena who worked with our boys. What impressed us most were their availability to assist, their commitment and professionalism, and their caring attitude and patience with us as we adjusted to the new environment and systems through what was a difficult time for us as a family. It would have been considerably different without this support. We regard ourselves very fortunate to have them attend such a good school and are looking forward to next term as we conclude the year!
