St Andrews Beach Brewery reviews
69Fantastic place to celebrate a milestone birthday. We booked 3 stables for a birthday function. We had Joe looking after us who was amazing and extremely helpful and accommodating. Definitely recommend the pizzas and calamari. We will be back! Thank you St Andrews Beach Brewery
Great place for drinks, not so great for food. The menu used to be a lot better but has recently changed, there are no sides apart from chips. Even then they are just chips, the sweet potato chips have disappeared. Thursday night is a steak night at the moment but you just get a steak and chips which is fine, but the option to order a salad or some veg on the side to go with it would be nice. You can order a salad, there are two on the menu but they are a meal in themselves with ingredients not really suitable to pair with a steak plus they cost $23 and $26 way too much to add as a side. Same goes for the pizza it would be lovely to order a pizza with a salad on the side to compliment it but your only option is chips. It’s a shame because otherwise the venue is a great place to catch up with friends but I feel the menu is letting them down.
First time here, wow what an establishment, the beer is beautiful and refreshing, I had the 6 glass paddle, wife had the pulled pork tacos with home made jalapeño sauce omg what a flavour bomb (no heat) wife happy lol, I had the hanger steak, a bit undercooked they said served Ned rare but this was rare, but I also like my steak rare and this along with the chimmicuri and those extra large fries were delicious, loved it and will be back asap with the kids
The home-brewed beer is great and the fruity aroma is great. This place is suitable for groups. There are many small private rooms. It is worth a return visit and there is enough parking space.
Good food, parking, drinks, location. Kid friendly and you can book a seat. Heaps of TV's to watch sports aswell
I came down here for lunch on a Friday and the food was amazing the pulled pork tacos were my favourite so many cool flavors and I like the pizza to we tried the ham and pineapple and the spiced veggie patch with was on the today's special menu food was amazing service was great keep up the amazing work!
Great vibes and atmosphere. Very modern look.
Staff was pretty cool and kitchen operations with floor staff was well organized and synced.
Food was pretty good.
Calamari with the paparika sauce was spot on. Pizzas was legit AF.
Only let down was the Black rice and Prawn salad. Flavors was good just too many uncooked black rice.
Looking forward to coming back again.
Well done team. Place looks fantastic
I went to order my food using my iPhone and the QR code link on my table at St Andrews Beach Brewery.
When I went to pay, the final cost on the cart also included a close to $5 public holiday surcharge.
I went to the counter and showed the surcharge on my iPhone to the server/manager behind the cash register.
He told me he had forgotten to removed the surcharge.
This happened on Thursday 27/04/23, two days after the Tuesday Anzac Day public holiday.
Very cool venue (would be a great place to watch sports with the booths and TV screens everywhere). Tasting paddle was great, the lager and ales were tasty. Opted to add the ginger beer as an extra taster ($5) - it was the worst ginger beer I've ever had (and I've tasted lots of different ones around Australia). Took it back to the bar and asked for a different taster which we got. Turns out it was their first batch of ginger beer- it needs a lot of work! Perhaps a bit cheeky to ask customers to pay for something that is at such an early stage of production. Had the chicken burger which was nice and a tomato and ricotta pizza which was OK, barely had a sauce base though so was pretty dry. Also found it bizarre that customers are not allowed to make alterations to the pizzas (how hard can omitting some basil/onion etc be? !) Worth a visit though and I would come back.
Good food good vibe. Some of the staff was extremely rude. We drove 2 hours and couldn't even get a coffee. Not worth it driving so far and get treated like that. Very dissapointed.
Stumbled across this beautiful brewery, food was great, and Alley was really helpful with the beer paddle selection. Definitely come back again!
Was Disappointed with not enough emphasis on the racing history as this is what originally drew me to visiting ST Andrew’s Brewery.
I came to the brewery with a group of 20 for a birthday. We had prepaid $570 which included food. When we arrived a member of my group was sick and did need to leave which we complied with. Everyone in my group was in good taste, civilised and well behaved. Just as our food arrived the staff informed us that they needed our entire group to leave because we were too drunk (we were all sitting happily eating). We questioned this and were met with hostility, aggression and were accused of lying about the state our group was in…. So bizarre but above all else extremely bad service. Given the fact we had a prepaid large booking, the service we received was truly appalling, the woman who was the manager on at the time was aggressive, rude, and demanding. We were then forced to pay an extra $300 before we left for what? On top of the $570 we paid just to carry out cold food in boxes, what an absolute waste of money and time. What happened to kind and considerate customer service. If I don’t receive my $300 back I will take this further. Appalling.
Had their pilsener tonight at squires loft and without a doubt it was the most horrific thing I have ever poured into my mouth. It tasted like dried flowers mixed with some kind of lemon flavoured cleaning agent. It's hard to describe exactly how horrible it was. It, in my opinion doesn't even deserve 1 star.
I hosted a surprise 30th birthday party for my husband at St Andrews Beach Brewery. Absolutely every guest was raving about how perfect the venue, the food/drink and the staff were. Such a perfect day and I cannot thank Ash and the team enough for creating such a perfect day! Highly recommended SAB for your next function!
Great venue for a function. Great food, awesome atmosphere and friendly staff. We had a great afternoon
My group of 20 people visited this brewery on the 21st of January, after a very unpleasant experience there, I do not recommend any large groups on visiting, staff unfriendly, rude and disrespectful. On top of all this they over charged us on the day and we have tried to get in contact with management and accounts for over 2 weeks now with no action made! They owe our group $300, I am making this review as they have made no effort to amend the situation. This whole venue is a joke, I hope they enjoy children running around instead of large adult bookings who spend money on over priced food and beverages. WILL NOT GO BACK
Kitchen needs to wear hair nets! Found a hair not only amongst the chips but also in the calamari coating. Pretty disgusting. Also no spirits are served which is a bit odd. Beer and atmosphere were fine.
Went and ordered a drink the bartender was rude and arrogant. Their eftpos wasn’t working and made it seem like it was my card and issue whilst standing there looking down on me! I’m sorry where was your customer service? The attitude made me feel uncomfortable and unwanted. Definitely unhappy with the service I received.
Went here before visiting the hot springs nearby. Staff were very accommodating and polite. They even suggested beers that would be great for the tasting. Loved the moscato too! Ambiance is amazing especially when going with friends and family. Would definitely go back to taste the food. Weekends get really busy so parking might be challenging. Though there are people who would instruct you if they run out of parking
