Squires Loft Williamstown

The service was great. The meat was cooked to perfection. It was my first time at SL. I’d definitely go again.

Not as good as other franchises. We made a booking and the place closed early so we were told the kitchen was closed because they weren't busy. Piss poor. It was 7.50pm on Valentines Day.

Nice reply. I don't care if you're new owners. You take the good with the bad. I can put a review whenever I want.

Will never come back here.

If you love a good steak you have to go
here! Tucked away in the streets of
Williamstown. Walk downstairs to a warm and inviting restaurant. We ate a black Angus eye fillet with chips and black pepper
sauce and t bone steak with baked potato
and mushroom sauce. We also tried their
baked mushroom and feta, and their ribs. Their meat is the highest quality and always
cooked to perfection.

Great food and the service was perfect not too obtrusive.
Came with the family so was a bit pricy but highly recommend!

Hubby & I dined here for the first time on Friday night, first but won't be the last! Service was second to none. We has a couple of people serving our food & drinks and all of them were super friendly. The food was great. Steak perfectly cooked and side wonderful. Cocktails were very nice and well priced. My only thought is that the tables are a touch small.no room for the wine bucket! Lol All in all a wonderful experience and will be returning soon.

ALWAYS SPOT ON EVERY TIME. The food is phenomenal & such a great vibe. Service was professional & prompt. Took hubby and the kids today for Father’s Day lunch, we shared a rack of pork ribs for entree that melted in your mouth, ordered a range of mains from steak to salmon & everything was cooked to perfection. Thanks Mick & Sunny for your hospitality & service, your restaurant is definitely the ‘hidden gem’ of Williamstown. Would encourage everyone to dine with you - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Great atmosphere to be in, lovely service and the food is absolutely divine. Favourite place to go for a nice sit down dinner, highly recommend.

Highly recommend this to all my friends and family. Squires Loft in Williamstown is our go-to restaurant! Can’t fault the food. I will never go to another steak place again. Michael and his team are very accommodating. The service here is incredible

You need to try this place. It’s an absolute game changer.

Back to the way it should have been before the previous owner STUFFED IT UP! He was a disaster of a human being and should NEVER have had the privilege of owning this franchise

Amazing food the meat smells in your mouth the chips crunchy everything was cook to perfection the staff very friendly will recommend.

Not good. My first impression as I walked in the gate from the alleyway was, “am I in the right spot”? Greeted by a broken fridge in the entry way, and the steel stairs covered in dirt. My steak took 40 minutes to arrive, was over done. My chips were good. My wife’s steak took 50 minutes to arrive, also over done. Her chips were cold. Both of us enjoyed the blue cheese sauce. Pretty bad when a steakhouse can’t cook steak on time, or per customer request. Beer list - nothing craft, just the usual suspects like VB, Crown, etc. Wine - a very ordinary list. Very young and inexperienced staff - for example, the young lady who took our order wanted to know our desert order when taking our mains. I’m surprised this place has a 4 star average to be honest. There are better local options.

Waiting staff seemed very young and inexperienced nervous had to ask to order & again for drinks very disappointed that MSG is used in all sauces & bastings for the steaks, tho the chef did prepare me a steak in a separate Pan in garlic butter instead which I couldn't fault no dressing on the salad so I asked for lemon, a lot of clutter glasses & bottles on the bar even though it wasn't very busy, storeroom door was open very messy at the entrance of the venue

I have heard good reviews about Squires Loft so decided to book a table for two on 28 November 2022. Travelled all the way to Williamstown but the restaurant was closed! Even though I got booking confirmation via email.
Tried to call the restaurant several times to ask what was going on. No answer!
All I can say I’m very disappointed!: (

Service was very slow had to go to the bar to get the beers the steak was dry will not go back again the entrance was dirty

I've eaten at Squires Loft probably 15-20 times. My last experience at this location was average, this time was even worse. The general cleanliness is mediocre, the area near our table smelled like sewerage (we kept getting wafts of it all night) but when we went into the toilet, it was NASTY. It was absolutely filthy and stank worse than the average train station public urinal. Naturally, there was no soap. On the way out my son nearly necked himself on a loose tile near the step which a staff member noted that management where well aware of. Food wasn't terrible but no eye fillet available, ribs overcooked or pre-cooked and nothing was seasoned. We couldn't order cocktails, as the excuse was no bar staff on tonight and last time the coffee machine was broken so no espresso Martinis or coffees with dessert. I feel sorry for the 16yo staff that have to cop all the heat from what is clearly a lack of management and lack of training. Kids, do yourself a favour and go work elsewhere. This place will teach you nothing. Never again.

This place has completely gone downhill! Service is an absolute disgrace! Toilets have no water, no hand soap and no toilet paper. Got our order wrong 3 times. My daughters beef ribs arrived cold! So so disappointing!

Unfortunately a disappointing evening. 40 minutes after ordering we were told that they had run out of certain foods. Meals came out incorrect, sides came out after the meal had been completed and coffee machine was broken (had been for 3 months). Credit to our waitress who was under a lot of stress due to all of this.

Prices are a bit high (food and drinks) when the quality wasnt that great. Staff were friendly.

Came here for a mid week steak with my cousin and I was not disappointed. Food was cooked well, ribs were good (as always) and my my eye filet medium, as ordered. Good experience all around.
