Springvale Central reviews
26Fantastic place for food and grocery. Heaps of options and well priced. Some vendors do not speak English. Plenty of parking but can fill up during peak Periods. Worth a visit.
We had to drive up and down looking for a parking spot. Come early and you'll be right.
I'm not often to shop around this area.because far further from my house. The price off item sometimes cheap.
The Most approachable neighbourhood, safe easy lay out main Street, Humble hard working humble people, affordable universally fit grocery goodies
We mostly come here for the food! Plenty of choices from Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese and many more.
Lots of variety of both food and multiple goods and services. Most stores take cash only though so visit the ATM before you go. Very multicultural place though predominantly Vietnamese. Get to know stall or store owners and they will look after you
To be fair, we did come on a holiday and obviously not many shops were open but still we found some nice shops and cafes open.
Security would not let me or my assistance dog in. I explained that it was illegal to refuse entry. He didn’t care. Disgusting behavior
Bustling central area of Springvale. Come early to avoid the parking chaos particularly on weekends.
Nice small shopping centre, parking is ok around it, and paid parking. Fruit and vegetables, take away food in the food court. Across the road a smaller place, it's like a small Asia, with good food, coffee, tea, fish market, flowers local groceries.
A variety of fresh and ready-made food, cheap prices, barber shops, gold shops, a lot of dry food.
I love shopping here for my monthly Asian groceries. There's a huge range of stores with a vast variety of Asian foods such as many instant noodle brands, sauces, fresh produce and refrigerated products. The meats need to be chosen carefully as some places I've noticed if you don't freeze the meat immediately, and you leave it in the fridge, it may start to smell and hence discarded due to health concerns. The seafood has been perfectly fine to purchase and the fruit and vegetables included. However if you go for discounted fruit and vegetables, please remind yourself that you must eat them asap as they're discounted for a reason! Also, the staff can be quite pushy and even go overboard filling bags with the produce for you incorrectly if you're too friendly. Instead of giving 1kg of something, they will try adding more and you won't realise until you go to make payment. This also includes meats so make sure you keep watch and call them out if you're on a budget and want a specific amount of a product.
Parking is basically a free for all. There are always cars signalled waiting for a free space, so I always go to the pay to park areas. Either under the apartments or above the back plaza. I haven't experienced getting a fine for overstaying by 30mins before, however that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
If you're not bringing a trolley with you. I suggest bringing your own bags as they charge in most places here. Also keep your receipts or ensure you have had your shopping bags colour tagged as I've been asked before where I got my fruits from when the store I purchased them from forgot to colour tag it.
Lastly, if you're there to do grocery shopping, I'd go during the week as parking is so much easier. Parking accepts card payment which is great if you're like me and never have spare change on you! Most stores accept cash only including restaurants, so there are a few ATMs in and outside of the plaza on the main road should you need to take money out!
Love this place, so much fresh meat, seafood, fruit and vegetables at amazing prices. Way better quality and heaps cheaper than those two supermarkets that we all shop at.
Great services and shopping here at very good prices. One negative is the cleanliness of this place.
Very dirty and bad odours everywhere. Even my kids do not like to visit there. Sorry for 1 star and will update later.
Awesome place, something for everyone. Range of restaurants, salons, fruit and veggie shops, fresh meat and fish.
Can be slightly intimidating for people that haven't been to springvale before but that's unfounded. Amazing food, groceries and everything else for very reasonable prices.
Hot spot for groceries, Asian food, haircuts, general goods, bakeries, butchery etc. Weekends are pretty mad especially in the morning and lunchtime so parking might be an issue.
Culturally it is a very interesting area to visit. Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese food stalls that entice immediately as you walk towards the centre. I have been going there for over 20 and it has developed into a one stop get all shopping experience. At times a little crowded as some stalls extend out into the walkway but enjoy the variety the centre has to offer.
