Having not been in a spotlight store for over 20 years and recently deciding on getting back into sewing, l went into the Cranbourne store and asked the assistant if she could help me. I guess she thought standing behind the fabrics counter and waving in the area of the material I needed was all l needed. Carrying rolls of material when you use a walking stick isn't easy
Lucky some nice customers helped cause the staff certainly didn't want to

I went to buy some fabric and I was waiting on counter to pay.
A lady (pam) was yelling I can't do 2 things at a time.
I still didn't reply and another lady (MAHAILA) (I AM SORRY IF I SOELL WRONG) came over their and put my fabric on side without saying anything I was still quite.
So 1st lady came to serve and ask who is next so I replied and she said I have to put the fabric on her side.
How I can approach in their side when her workmate put the fabric on side without any communication with me.
Still I was quite and waiting to finish.
When she charged $7.5 /m to me I said it's 6.5/m
Check the cardboard and she bang the things on counter and sadly doing things.

She ruined my day I felt like I was unwanted there and not to go there again but I have to go there as its my nearest store.
I had bad experiences before as well whenever I am buying fabrics but I ignored it.
I hope these store staff will be trained well and store should have enough stock as well like other stores.
Spotlight has to improve there costumer services.

Would give it less if I could. Asked for help returning an item (perfect condition) to exchange it for the right item and was told no. Asked for manager and I believe I was entitled due to their return policies. Told they weren’t available.
I then tried to call the store number (expecting management was probably hiding out the back) Store phone runs out with no message bank.

Invest in staff training. You keep business by ensuring your stores are run correctly.

In response to a post earlier re: Fabric Dept, I can understand how someone can misunderstand what Staff are doing or how they interact with customers, if English isn’t your first comfortable language. Spotlight Cranbourne, I have found to have some outstanding wonderful customer service team members. The small size of the store does make it hard to display the increasing number of stock items in a easy to find way, like the shelving in the fabric department could be higher to help display the numerous bolts of fabric that often you have to lift up to see what fabric is underneath. But once you have collected the fabric you desire, the queue line is well signposted, often there is a queue but the service you receive once you are at the Service desk, is very special. The Staff, including Narelle, Pam, Mihaela, and Eileen are very experienced, competent ladies to ask about anything pertaining to this department. The reputation of these ladies is well known in craft circles as many people travel to go to this store for the service. I am regularly amazed when at a crafting group or standing in the line, talking with fellow customers and I hear stories of the outstanding customer service the staff have given.
The only downside is the staff endure abuse from customers which shouldn’t happen but does.

Doesn't always have products available for click and collect even though it says it does. Staff are very helpful.

Shaun from the Furniture Department is a very helpful Store Representative. I was looking for a Curtain that gone in clearance and sadly no more in stock, he helped me get another Brand in Stock almost identical to the one I was looking. He went Above and Beyond 5 mins ago to satisfy his Customer. Thank you Shaun

Look out dragon lady manager all in black walks around without ID yelling at customers. Maybe it's the lack of sunlight. Awful.

Why does this place always look so messy! The party area is a shamoozle. Stock everywhere and nowhere. Can’t find anything and the balloon filling is understaffed.

I don’t normally leave bad reviews I was shopping when I saw the store manager bulling a elderly lady as she pull the blinds of the trolley and broke the the box’s on the floor, then when the customer was shaking saying why did you brake it I just wonted to change them to the right size? She called a male worker over and said he saw everything you brought them back like this.it was the most disappointed thing to see a employee treating an elderly person with such disrespect I really think they should put there management through customer service training

I went to spotlight yesterday and asked a woman in the party section who was stacking shelves if they had any plain white gift boxes. I was told they had them but were not on display as they couldn't fit them in. I continued to ask if i can get 2 boxes. I was told they are out back and hard to get to. I again stated i needed 2 boxes and asked how i can get them. I was told i couldnt get them as they received alot of stock and they couldnt get to the boxes. This was all said without even going out back to check. Very poor customer service and pure laziness!

Its 3: 45pm massive line waiting with only one checkout operator the young girl over the P. A System calls for credit call instead of asking for another operator very poor service

Was made to stand outside with seven other customers at 9am this morning in freezing cold while staff decided to have a group meeting. Would off being longer except a customer opened the front doors and questioned the situation. This is a reoccurring issue. Staffing sitting in their cars and arriving smack on 9am. Also the staff that have been employed lately aren't pleasant or have no knowledge or experience in craft. This is the first time l have fed feed back.

Went it to buy a mattress protector on the way out I saw Anne Stokes throw rugs reduced to $8. I thought this was great as it matched the doona cover I had bought a few weeks ago. When I got to the check out they charged me $25 when I asked about the price, and told the girl they were $8 she looked on the computer and insisted that they were $25, so I told her I didn't want it then. On my next visit the sign was still there. Very disappointing that they couldn't check the price or if they can't leave the register couldn't get someone else to check. Be diligent when checking receipts.

Aziz of Spotlight Cranbourne was absolutely amazing! He was so patient with us and turned a stressful curtain shopping trip into an enjoyable one by ensuring we had everything we needed for the installation. Beyond impressed by his dedication and professionalism. Spotlight is lucky to have him!

Thank you Spotlight for an amazing service. Shout out to TJ who assisted us and made this dream curtains to happen. There was a mistake with the cashier because she didn't scan the right barcode for 4 pairs but I was able to swap it today. The return is very smooth. We are very happy with the service.

Went into the store - was out of stock of most things which was super frustrating! Tried asking a staff member on the floor directions to find something that showed as available online and she seemed impatient & annoyed that I had ‘interrupted’ her. Prices are not that competitive. Store is overwhelming and felt quite disorganised with Christmas items all over the store rather than purely in 1 section.
