Sports Conscious

We moved to Brighton about ten years ago and I am a staunch supporter of local friendly businesses so Andy has seen a lot of me over the years (poor guy). Andy and his team are friendly and extremely knowledgeable of their products which comes in handy when I’m looking for shoes for bush or beach walking with my foot issues. My teenagers love their gear as well for school camps so no need for trips down to Nepean Hwy. Thankyou Andy and staff and keep up the great work!

Great range of stuff and exceptional customer service and knowledge. Everyone there is super helpful in advising what stuff is important and what isn't.

Been coming here for years since moving to Oz and I think the store's like 20 or 30 years old. One of the LAST awesome owner-operated small stores before the megastores. Great selection, UNIQUE selections you won't find at the big outlets, and truly epic staff who know everything about all the products. So you're paying for service and knowledge, and that's worth every penny. Plus they do have great sales from time to time but you can walk in any day of the week and find something groovy. Andy the owner is as nice a guy as you'd ever meet and always searching for the best gear for a discerning Brighton crowd but it doesn't matter where you live or are going this is one of the best stores anywhere to visit. My wife and I love the store, can you tell? Check it out.

I recently picked up a pair of excellent ON shoes from Sports Conscious, (thanks for your great advice Imogen). As usual, the range, knowledgable staff and great prices at SC made shopping a delight. After many purchases over many years I feel it is high time I pass on my thanks to Andy and his great team. Sports Conscious is a true Brighton institution.

I had an excellent shopping experience today at Sports Conscious whilst buying a new pair of runners. A staff member named Kez assisted me and she was very knowledgeable about what type of shoes would serve my purpose and what was best for my support etc. I will definitely be shopping here again. In Melbourne last week and discovered my new favourite shop - Sports Conscious. Love my new Kari Traa top (great for skiing & colourful outer wear) and my bamboo Tasc trackie pants which are so comfy I can't take them off! Staff were attentive and knew their brands. I could have bought the whole shop - I will be back!

The store itself looks well decked out with a lot of running and trail shoes that aren't easy to find. I walked in there today while in Brighton on business, wanting to buy some compression socks and running gloves. As I walked in the front door, one of the sales people was standing in the doorway and didn't even acknowledge me. I wandered around the store for about 5 minutes while 1 sales person was helping a customer and the one that didn't acknowledge me stood there until a friend of hers came in and they started talking. No acknowledgement even when I walked straight past her on the way out. I went a few doors up Church St to 2XU and spent $155 without batting an eyelid because of the great service. I wasn't after a lot, just a tiny bit of acknowledgement if I'm going to spend $ in your store.

Again, a great experience when it comes to updating the winter jackets at Sports Conscious. Whilst Arcteryx sells itself as a market leader, the best part was how great it felt to be in a shop where staff value you as a customer and are willing to assist and recommend! See you next season.
