Unfair charges for minor scratches. Unexpected fees deducted from my account automatically without notice.

This company is the worst I have ever met, I really doubt how long for such shut company can survive. Just be aware you paid the car for seven days they only allow you to use for 3 days if you are not going to pay following week payments in advance.

Went through a accident and it's not my fault but these people changed me 1500 $, now it's more than 11 months and still they didn't refund it.

After reading other reviews, seeing other peoples experiences with Splend and reading the finer details of the agreement, I decided to cancel the subscription the day after I signed it. The agreement doesn't have a cooling off period and the setup fee is $990.00 non refundable! Just wanted to give a warning to people thinking about getting a subscription make sure it is right for you first. I think it is a bit dishonest not having a cooling off period with a car hire/purchase agreement.

I rented a car from these people and met with an accident, it was a minor damage and it was not my fault but still I paid 1500 dollars according to their agreement and they said they going to returned it. I finished their contract and returned their car now it's 4 months and still didn't return 1500 dollars, when I call Splend claims they don't even answer the phone they only reply to the emails but they still try to keep my 1500 dollar putting blame in to my side, very cheeky buggers, be careful guys when you renting a vehicle from these people

I recently became a Splend customer again after a few years away. I'm loving my new vehicle, the Yaris Cross is seriously for rideshare! The customer service at Splend from Alexandra was amazing! She's really good at her job, plus so friendly and approachable! Amazing service, amazing Yaris Cross!

Splend is a terrible company with the most horrendous customer service. My partner rented a car from splend and was a loyal customer. One night we parked the car to go to dinner. When we returned, the car had been smashed into while parked and the driver took off. Luckily someone had witnessed the other car smashing into our car while we were gone and we called the police. The police found the intoxicated driver in his car around the corner from where our car was parked and the driver admitted he had smashed into our car. The police wrote a report and told us if we had any issues we could call on them to testify that we were not a fault. We then called Splend who organised a tow truck. The contract splend has with their drivers states the driver must pay a $1500 excess fee and will receive this back in 3 weeks, once their insurance confirms we are not at fault. We explained the situation and told them the police had found the driver that was at fault. Almost 9 months later we have not had our excess of $1500 returned because when they tried to contact the driver that was at fault, he would not answer or admit fault. Therefore, Splend have said they do not have to return the excess to us. They don’t answer their phones and cannot put you through to any claims department although I have been trying to rectify this for 9 months. They never respond to emails or calls. Only ever saying they will lodge the complaint but never the less we get no response. So essentially if you have an accident, whether your fault or not, you will be giving them $1500. Splend is unfortunately looking to take what they can get from people and are uninterested in providing a good experience for their drivers as you can see from all the bad reviews. Please don’t risk using this company.

Was treated with a respectable and very welcoming manner. No issues at all, walked through what needed to be done. Handled very professionally. I would advise anyone to go see Alexandra from Splend she’s fantastic and great to deal with.

I returned a clean and washed car. Still charging me extra for cleaning fees. Strange i already paid outside for cleaning and washing and just drove to their Melbourne office from eastern suburb. And they charging me more for cleaning.

Alexandra is an absolute legend and pleasure to deal with. Love her, she deserves a raise and a promotion. I had a blast talking to her and discussing the contract of my new car. I couldn’t pick anyone better to deal with than Alexandra. Top notch. I would give her a million stars but it doesn’t go that high. Can’t wait to chat to her again, just extremely polite and easy to talk to.
