Was looking for a hard to get game today to buy.
Walking past thought I’d chance it.
Bingo they had it!
The professional assistance was excellent and very knowledgeable on all things games.

After checking opening hours on the shop's web site, I turned up at the start of the day, to find the shop closed! Messaging on face book elicited a canned response. I messaged a photo of the front window. Ten minutes later a staff member opened up. Thanks to the staff member, I was able to collect my paid-for game.

Edit, a month later, responding to proprietor: I optimistically thought I could catch public transport to N Melb & back (80km round trip) & still fit in an appointment for lunch! So, I arrived at the shop before the (then) advertised opening time. After walking around the block, I sent a message
"I'm at your door. 13 mins after opening.
"Are you ok?
"Are you opening? "
I was genuinely concerned for the staff.
The response
"Hi, thanks for contacting us. We've received your message and appreciate you reaching out. "
appeared just an automatic thing. Shortly afterwards a further response
"10 minutes"
I'm grateful to the staff member who opened the shop.

We’ve always loved this shop. Their recommendations are always spot on and the variety of games is wonderful. Today they levelled up! When we drove in to find them closed they found someone to come in and OPENED THE SHOP FOR US! Beyond amazing. Thank you for going above and beyond and for the five awesome new board games that we get to play now over Easter. ️

Tldr: Bad experience with staff.treatment felt racial.would avoid.

Bored and rude employees.who would rather spend time complain about how bad their work is with the creep from the antique store across the road then serving actual customers.

Me n my partner both gamer, new to area looking for new local store.unfortunately. The Person on staff at our first visit, decided to very obviously treat us like shop lifters.
Tried to ease tension in store asking question i didn't need answered just to let the staff member known my intention was to make a purchased.to which they acted like i was bothering them.

Decided my money was better spent elsewhere and left to which the staff member their decided to follow us out the store and continue to stare at us.until my parnter.extremely upset by the whole ordeal had to confront the member and explain how we had be made to feel.their response was as expected and we ended up walking straight to MINDGAMES in the CBD and found what i was looking for ($10 cheaper)

Excellent FLGS with friendly staff, and they buy/sell quality second hand games! Probably the best all-round place to buy tabletop games in Melbourne.

Amazing local NM store. They have an amazing selection of games including board games and puzzles. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Prices are competitive. Can’t recommend enough.

Awesome store. Amazing amount of games from a very small shop. Knowledgeable staff! Kelly is warm and interested in what games you like and gives you great suggestions. Dave that gave 1 star has zero clue and probably was angry that Monopoly Australia edition wasn't for sale. You guys rock!

Great games store with a wide range of games and really helpful staff - they have great suggestions! Games for everyone from young kids to game-addicted adults. Awesome for a last minute present too as there is always something you can get for anyone no matter how much they play!
