Spicy Corridor- Restaurant & Cafe

We discovered Spicy Corridor since moving into the area recently and we have now become regulars. Tasty, authentic Sri Lankan food and very good, friendly service. Keep up the good work team!

One of the best places to try out Sri Lankan Cuisine… food with a passion… flavours of all dishes were excellent… and best of all they had all you can eat buffet as well…. Highly recommend to try atleast once

Unfortunately this is the last time I would order from Spicy Corridor. We placed a curry pack order.we were asked to come on Tuesday (7th Nov) at 7pm. When we came the shop was closed.

We then called on Wednesday and was asked to come pickup on Sunday (12 Nov) at 12pm. We just called to check-in that the order is ready before travelling. The man who answered the phone was extremely rude, unapologetic and said thet the order was not ready and started yelling about not doing orders on Sundays. Eventually, he said I can have it in 15 mnts. (Not sure how you can make 10 curry packs in 15 mnts). He was so rude that my wife was very sad and does not deserve to be disrespected, just because he was having a bad day. (It was a happy Diwali day till we spoke to him and this has been unacceptable). I then called and cancelled the order and spoke to the same rude person. Who pretty much said don't bother coming. Very rude person. (Shameful that he is Sri Lankan - I think the chef)

Here's the thing. I like the place. Food is tasty and quite bit of variety. I have been coming to this shop for over the past two years and had no issues until they opened up the all you can eat buffet spread. I often go there to buy take away rice and curry. During covid they had the 1 meat three veg option which they serve you in Styrofoam containers for $14. Since they opened the all you can eat spread they expect you to pay $16.50 for a small plastic container which is either 500-650ml container. It is smaller than the previous Styrofoam container they had as the plastic containers don't have the hight due to flat lids. Once you put two scoops of rice in there there's hardly any space for curries. You have to sacrifice one for the other. I find myself taking very little rice to accommodate for the curries. Now the shop owner may say that they're prices are up because of the recession. No excuse for being stingy though. There are other place in cranbourne and which you can get bigger volume of food for few $ less.
As a slap in the face when I was there last week as I was struggling to fit the curries into my containers the female server behind the counter was filling up a bigger Styrofoam container of rice and curry with ease. Most probably for herself to take home. She had more rice and curry in her container than i the paying customer can fit into that small plastic box.
Recession or not you guys have to be reasonable for the price to ratio. I still commend for the quality of food. However if I have to keep paying $16 for little amount of food then I'm ditching this place. Spicy flames in cranbourne is more value for money even though they have 1 meat 3 veg option. Decent size containers for less than $15 and tasty food.

Very unprofessional service. Contacted the restaurant over the phone and asked them whether they are open for lunch and whether we could come in within the next 15mins. When we arrived at the restaurant it was closed stating to come back at 3: 30. Very misleading information and very unprofessional service. If your restaurant is already closed or going to be closed you could have informed us when we contacted you over the phone. Will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Best sri lankan food I had in Australia. Just went to have dinner for four of us and end up buying food for the whole family. Very friendly service. Would definitely visit spicy corridor again and would recommend to anyone one who likes to try out the sri lankan foods.

Good Sri Lankan buffet is hard to come by in this area. $18pp for fantastic selection of food. Place is clean and customer service above par

We drive an hour (one way!) Just to come eat from here.
Have tried the rice and curry, kottu, Lumprice and pan rolls. All of them were absolutely delicious!

We go to this place 2-3 times a week, The food is always fresh, and as for the dishes there is only one word FANTASTIC, Keep up the great work guys.

First time eating from this place after moving newly to the area. Must say I had a mad kotthu well worth the price! Gotta try their butter chicken kotthu can't wait to try out their other menu items! Keep up the great work to the wonderful staff working here.

Been to this place recently to buy Sri Lankan rice and curry packs. The portions are generous and the food tastes spicy and great. They also have a variety of fresh salads. The staff are very helpful and friendly. A hidden gem in the Cranbourne area.

Perfect level of spice, overlooked this place whenever I wanted to order food and I regret waiting until now to try it

I had ordered a quarter chicken with chips and salad, the restaurant staff is really friendly and nice they took the effort to call and inform that the salad I ordered is out of stock and would I like to change it with something else. Loved how the restaurant sent me two fish rolls with my order to make up to not being able to provide me with the salad I wanted. Coming to the food I really loved how the chicken was cooked and friend crisp and salty just how I love them. Thank you again spicy corridor for the fish rolls.
