There are several components which make a truly great dining experience. These include hospitality, ambience, cleaniness and ofcourse, the food and I am thrilled to say that Spice Mantra has exceeded our expectations on every ground. The owner, Mr. Dashmesh Singh took his valuable time out to explain his passion for the business and his love for hospitality. We were thoroughly delighted with every dish we ordered based on Mr. Dashmesh's recommendations. The dishes were presented well and tasted like authentic dishes. The menu has several interesting options to chose from and is well thought through for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. The bar has a great selection of drinks and their mocktails are infact a delicacy.

I would highly recommend this joint for your next visit if you haven't done so already. Happy eating.

We go to Spice Mantra regularly and love the food. It is by far the best in the area and the owner, Dash, is always striving to improve and mix up the menu to keep things fresh and exciting. I love eating here, if you are a fan of Indian food, this is an absolute must try!

Nice meals, we tried paneer tikka, Palak paneer and garlic naan, the food was really very tasty. Specially the owner was very friendly and all staff are very professional, will definitely visit again.

Three of us dined at the most impressive Spice Mantra in Hampton this evening. What a treat! The food was delicious. We recommend everything we tried! From samosa chats to Malabar fish curry in a sumptuously flavoured creamy sauce to dhal and chicken tikka accompanied by basmati rice and yummy garlic naan. This treasure of an Indian restaurant is expertly managed by the charming Dash. He couldn’t do enough to ensure our evening was a pleasant one and even offered a complimentary Kingfisher beer! Thank you, Dash. We’ll return to Spice Mantra.

We were greeted at the door by the lovely owner Dash who was very welcoming and engaging.

The food was exceptional. We started with the pappadums which in my opinion were the nicest I've had. We ordered Kaju matar ki tikki recommended by Dash and the Tandoori Prawns for entree, which were both flavoursome and well presented. For mains we ordered Lamb Vindaloo, which my husband thorough enjoyed with a heat rate of 5 which was the right amount and I had the Butter Chicken which was smoked and extremely delicious, steamed rice and garlic naan. The garlic naan was also done to perfection. The meal could not be faulted, it was a lovely evening. Dash was the perfect host and chatted enthusiastically about his travels in my hometown of Scotland.

I highly recommend you check this place out. We will definitely be back.

We stumbled upon this restaurant serving Indian cuisine on our day out and have to call this as one of the best experiences when it comes to Indian food in Melbourne. Dash (the owner) is an excellent host and explained each dish to us in details, while making us great recommendations based on our dietary preferences. The food was truly well balanced in terms of spices. Our favourite dishes were Cashew matar tikkis, sabzi handi and lachcha paratha! Rest of the dishes were great too. Highly recommend their non-alcoholic beverages.

Food was very average. Food barely had any spice at all despite asking specifically for this and having owner debate with us how spicy we should have.

The owner rang me when food was done and had my last name at that stage despite me not having offered it when I ordered which was a little off putting.

The owner was a lovely man who brought new food to me when I got home and realised they had given me something different to what I’d ordered, but sadly his good service in this scenario isn’t enough to outweigh the average food quality and figurative bad taste left from him arguing with us on what spice level we should order.

After being greeted by Mr Dashmeer at the door and seated me and the lovely Isa he went through the menu and explained the flavours and degrees of spicey hotness available. He truly is a master craftsman who really knows the subtelties of the dishes his chefs create. He spoke nicely and displayed superb customer service skills. He was fast in taking our order and it didnt take long for our delicious food to arrive!
The Butter Chicken was divine along with fresh Naan and our other tasty dishes including a Lassi and a Kingfisher beer mygosh I was blown away with how good it ALL tasted. Could not fault anything with the resturant or the service or the food. Almost a hidden gem highly reccomended and 5 ️️️️️

Food for Biryani Chicken and Rata is so so so delicious spice lvl is spot on.

Everything i ordered here was absolutely delicious. Entrees and mains were amazing, portion was satisfying too. I had a very great time here, would definitely recommend anyone who is looking for a perfect dinner night.
