Specsavers Optometrists - Keilor Downs S/C

I'm happy with the glasses, but the Cases are a total disgrace, I'm embarrassed to take them out of my bag. They are not hard cases, they are finished in a flock material & all sorts of rubbish get stuck on them
Also way too big for the glasses.
Disappointing
Why so Cheep?

Staff at Keilor Downs might not be 100% professional service wise, but their Optometrists have excellent profession. Frames have good quality, prescription lenses were made precisely. I needed not a second visit for any adjustments

This was by far the best experience I have ever had with an optometrist business I've had over 20 years. Havanur, Maria and Belinda went above and beyond my expectations! I could not be happier as a customer and will definitely be back. Thanks again for making my day

I wasn''t at all happy with my appointment at SpecSavers Keilor Downs (now on multiple occassions). The optomistrist did not read my prescription information correctly and gave me a reading pair of glasses instead of an "office" pair of glasses, in addition to my multi-focal glasses. Neither glasses have been right for my eyes and now I need to arrange to go back and be re-tested, which is most frustrating.
When I went to pick my glasses up, the person did not fit them properly and I had to go back and arrange to be re-fitted by a more experienced fitter, who did a terrific job of fitting my glasses. However, the fitting hasn't helped in terms of the lenses working for my eyes.
Overall, I'm not impressed with the Keilor Downs store. I chose SpecSavers for their warranty and their cheaper cost, but so far I'm not that impressed.
Update 31/08/2023: I had a bad fall and had to get new glasses this month - I'm NOT at all impressed with the service at Keilor Downs. I went with a friend to choose new frames and had them put aside. I received extremely poor assistance to choose frames to suit me and when I went back on the day of my eye test, the frames I had carefully put aside had been "swapped out" for a completely different pair of glasses! Luckily, I had taken a photo of what I had chosen, but we wasted over 30 minutes searching the store to find them again: (This is appalling service!
I also don't understand why I have to be "re-testing" by SpecSavers when I bring a prescription from an eye specialist either - they are far more highly trained than an optomestrist and it's a complete waste of Government funding - it's all about SpecSavers being able to charge Medicare for an eye test, don't they make enough money from the frames and lenses? !
I also object to being told I "must" have a hearing test, which is what I was told by the optometrist. I already have hearing aids - so why "must" I have a hearing test? ! Needless to say, I refused.
I did have excellent fittings of my new glasses, both times, from Christine, but I did ask the manager to refer me to his best staff member.
I WILL NOT be using the Keilor Downs store again in the future.
I have no choice but to use SpecSavers because of their low prices and gauranteed product - I do like this aspect of the franchise, but sadly will not be returning to the Keilor Downs store.

I had an excellent experience for choosing glass with Belinda at Keilor dows store today. She is so knowledgeable and friendly! Especially with her patience to explain the different of price options very well!

I have been going to Specsavers for a number of years.
I am happy with Specsavers, they have a lot of frames to pick from and also their staff are always so helpful. Also their testing of my eyes and hearing are always spot on. I can not fault them as they are always so professional.

Picked up my glasses from Keilor Downs yesterday (7th May) put them on and within minutes I got used to them. Super clear vision.so happy.
I had a number of issues with glasses from a different company.
Long story short, Specsavers did a great job. I will be back.

Absolutely the best place to go for your eyes by far. They take the time to make sure they are 100% right with what they are telling you. If you have kids definitely take them there, they are great with kids and adults. I been to a few different ones and Keilor is by far the best

I will never be going back to this specsavers. They managed to lose my glasses and still haven't returned them "unable to find them" they also found no solution. My glasses were only meant to be changing the lens and somehow the business lost my glasses and they disappeared in thin air. I have told everyone i know and they will not be attending this specific specsavers with the fear of losing their own glasses and not receiving any type of compensation for their neglect.

I have been visiting this store for at least 6 or more years now, the optoms, Charmini and Marlene are fantastic, my scripts are always perfect. All the staff there are very knowledgeable when it comes to selection and packaging my needs, Belinda & John in particular is a true professionals but all the staff are freindly and helpful. Highly recommended store for all your Optom needs.

While I’ve always had a good experience at Specsavers Keilor Downs, recently I had an amazing one and thought it was worth the review. The service was friendly, professional, personalised and timely from the moment I walked in, to my eye test, choosing glasses and picking them up a week later. Special thanks to Optometrist Amina for always being so friendly, thorough and explaining everything simply and to Dispenser Havanur for going above and beyond to choose the right pair in my price range.
