An update to this. Independent of this review I have seen progress in managing the automation. We are making progress and whilst I'd like to give 5 stars for the installation I have limited it to 4 as the follow up hasn't been as smooth as expected, although it is improving.

Hi, first the good: these guys did a great job helping design the solution and installing my panels and battery, but that is where it ended.
Now the short comings: the black out failover wasn't configured properly (still might not be, I can't raise contact with them.) I am very keen to install home automation so I can manage when to generate power and when to sell it, however I can't get any contact to enable this. Unfortunately SolarEdge have designed their equipment so users can't do anything and the installer has to enable it all. I had an existing solar installation that was supposed to be designed into the solution. They over promised what they could do to co-ordinate the two and under delivered. I've waited months to post this, and now 3 weeks since I was told (after much chasing) that it would be all sorted in a week.
I'm super disappointed, not in the installation skills, but the follow up support - they just aren't up to what they promise.

We went through Specialized Solar and Electrical for our solar panels and also more recently our battery. It was so easy to deal with the team at SS&E and even today after installation they are always on hand and more than happy to help. Rachel and Chelsea in the office are so friendly and always happy to help too.

We had so many questions when looking at solar panels as it can be very confusing but Scott Degabriele, Head of Commercial was patient with us and clearly had the knowledge and experience of the industry. I also did my own research and the panels we had installed are of very high quality/manufacturing.

Our battery has only been installed for about 4 weeks and we were reaping the rewards from day 1. The app is also really easy to use and we continually find ourselves looking at it to see when we are using most of our energy and the best time to use it.

An expensive outlay to start but 100% well worth the money. I would definitely recommend Specialised Solar & Electrical for anyone that is looking to make the change to solar.

Ibrahim Salameh and his brother did an amazing job fitted my 2 split system air conditioners. They were punctual, polite and hard working and did not leave until both machines had been tested and aligned as to air direction. Not a box, nor polystyrene bufferto be seen; great clean-up job

Great communication and support with paperwork. A very well organised operation and we got solar power operational pretty quickly. Thanks Troy and team.

Specialized Solar has been a great team to work with. Their install team did a beautiful job on the install. Their after sales support is excellent. System has been in and running for 1 1/2 years now and doing exactly what I wanted. Now just need battery prices to come down:)

Great service fixed a small issue after install and helped to merge my solar edge accounts had the job done within a week or 2 of signing everything. Was a great company to deal with will be back to them if I need more solar in future. System was a 3.69 kw 9 panel install to add to existing solar. Scott and Rachel have been fantastic to deal with.

We would like to highly recommend Specialised Solar & Electrical who were responsible for the design & installation of an upgrade to our existing 3kw solar system to a 6kw system which then enabled us to purchase a Tesla Battery through SS&E
Our first point of contact was Scott Degabriele Head of Commercial. Scott was awesome. He was not deterred by the fact that we already had a solar system installed through a local government loan scheme initiative for pensioners. While several other providers balked at the request to integrate the 2 solar systems required size of 6kw to run the battery, Scott immediately went to work on the design phase. Scott's installation team headed by Tim were brilliant.
Melanie was always available when we rang to answer any questions that we had & responded promptly & efficiently. She was great.
The whole process with Specialised Solar & Electrical was seamless & hassle free.

You get what you pay for. Very happy with Specialized solar and electrical. Everything they promised they delivered.
The process was explained thoroughly by Troy. He was very helpful patient and gave excellent advice.

Fantastic service, they handled every item from start to finish without any stress on us (or requiring us to follow up which is rare) including installing prewiring in the walls before our garage was plastered at short notice. Would definitely use again

Sales team very transparent and exceptionally punctual with call backs and appointments. Installer very professional and accommodating. Whilst not the cheapest, you get what you pay for. Highly recommend

A few months ago I had some electrical work completed at my property and can I say Specialized Solar and Electrical are were amazing. I received a quote from Anthony not long after requesting one and once I approved it Chelsea who I believe is in charge of bookings had me booked in a couple of days later. The electricians who came out were great, quick and had the work done perfectly. I definitely recommend using them.

These guys are awesome. Their products are great and do what they ment to. Have another system that was installed by another company and in 3 years that other company has been back numerous times to fix it. Specialised solar system hasn't missed a beat. Great staff great service. Keep up the great work and I'll be back.

Thrilled to give a review for Specialized Solar.

Myself and my husband have been considering solar for some time, but weren’t sure where to start. There were so many horror stories of dodgy dealers and crooked panels.

I actually discovered Spec Solar through the Brimbank City Council website, so felt they would be trustworthy.

My dealings with every team member, every step of the way were excellent. Friendly, reliable, made the whole process seamless and patiently worked around our busy lives.

Scott also did not try and oversell, and explained there was only room for 7 panels on our roof. He was straight down the line and honest to what was right for us.

At the installation stage Luigi was reliable, prompt and explained everything well.

The customer service provided by Spec Solar and Atlas, who did the financing, was spot on.

The addition of a low interest loan from Atlas made the whole thing possible, as we didn’t have the cash upfront.

All in all, I can’t recommend Spec highly enough and have begun to recommend them to friends and family. Even though small, our unit has made a significant difference to our usage already. If I could get more panels, I would!

Recently moved in a house with 15 panels installed by this company 4 years ago in 2019. They helped me take ownership of my installation from previous owners. Everything still works fine, the panels are in very good shapes, elec production is still high, the inverter works great, and the manufacturer application to monitor production & utilisation is very user friendly. Recently their crew came onsite and did a good job cleaning the panels, doing the yearly check on the installation. Very professionals, willing to share knowledge, fast and efficient, v happy.
The only reason I gave 4 stars is because they are not the cheapest on the market, having recently been contacted by few companies to do the annual services half price. But I guess you get what you pay for.

I had a very difficult time with a previous installer (they secured me to an NDA in order to get my $1600 deposit returned quickly without lawyering up) and Specialized were the exact opposite. On time, transparent, professional and got the job done, with plenty of followup to make sure I was satisfied.

With a difficult site installation, the guys worked hard to hide all of the cabling and left a shiny new Solaredge battery and inverter silently working away. Great communication from the whole team. The app is becoming addictive as I regularly check the battery storage and solar production stats.

Specialized Solar were thorough in explaining solar systems and all the varying sizes and outputs. Answering dozens of my questions about how it works and how it will benefit our household.
Scheduling the install was easy and straight forwards and Specialized Solar happily moved the install forwards when possible.
The process of the rebate application was easy and straight forwards with Specialized Solar providing a step by step guide and Victoria Solar had us approved within the week.
Specialized Solar followed up with our electrical supplier to ensure new contracts set up for our tarrif feed in when electrical supplier did not respond.
Specialized Solar provided excellent communication throughout the whole process including independent inspection, system turn on, application setups, and electrical supplier contract changeover.
The site installers were polite and great at their job, being thorough about all aspects of install, keeping site safe and clean, utilising safety rails also.
Overall we are very happy we chose Specialized Solar for our install.
