Spark Tennis

I moved to Gisborne a year ago and tried a few different Tennis Clubs till I ended at Spark Tennis which stands out as the absolute best!
The Coaches are really welcoming and super skilled. I feel really comfortable and enjoy every lesson!
I highly recommend Spark Tennis.

Mario has been truly fantastic with our boys, in keeping them engaged, having fun and learning. They were so focused and really soaking up every word. As a Mindset coach and a parent who desires the very best for her children, I was very grateful I found a coach so passionate, an expert in their field and exceptional with children. 10/10

Mario and his team are amazing with teaching new tennis skills and engaging the group of kids in sessions. The team make tennis lessons fun and exciting each week, making it super enjoyable for our boys. Mario is approachable and warm and willing to give feedback when needed. We will continue these lessons and hope our boys develop a love and passion for the sport.

Such a great environment, the coaches are very understanding to the child’s level. They have helped my son build confidence and it’s good to have him out of the house enjoying an activity

My little girl is always eager for Thursday's to roll around because that means Fun at Spark Tennis. The coaches are friendly yet professional, the facilities are great & I personally enjoy the location.

Our girls have loved their time this term with Mario and the team showing them tennis fundamentals in their after school program partnership with Willowbank Primary. What a great way to get more kids involved in tennis for parents who are time poor and inspiring a whole new generation. The girls love the way the instructors engage them individually to help them to continue to master the different techniques and then bring it together with some fun team games. A really well run program, well done to all involved.

Mario and team have improved my game so easily. They know exactly what to say and my lessons are the highlight of my week as it's so enjoyable and takes all of my worries away. I LOVE IT ️ Doc.

My boys have always loved coming to spark tennis. Mario and his instructors are all really positive and encouraging. My kids who can be a bit shy, have enjoyed coming and increased in confidence aswell as skills. Great for kids wellbeing-physical and mental:)

I started coming to Cardio tennis a couple of years ago, after seeing how much fun my kids were having in their group lessons. As someone who had never played before, I was a bit nervous. But Mario is such an excellent coach, enthusiastic, fun, and makes us all feel like every little improvement is noticed. Thanks, Mario!

We tried multiple academies and coaches before finding Mario and we’re so glad we kept searching! Mario has coached our son for over 3 years now, mostly private coaching for a junior with big aspirations. Technically & tactically sound, Mario is helping our son shape his game-plans & his technique. But more than that,
Mario brings joy to the game and keeps the kids grounded - with plenty of life lessons along the way. He teaches positive mindset, creativity, conceptual decision making, self-love/care, patience and perseverance. So if you’re looking for a role model as well as a coach - Mario’s your guy.

Mario is a professional, enthusiastic and talented coach. My cardio session with Mario is such fun and the highlight of my week! He is always positive and encouraging and brings out the best in each player's abilities. He cleverly adapts his coaching techniques to the specific player, their strengths and playing style. Personally, this tailored approach has made a vast difference and has greatly improved my game.
