Its a great place to have a good break in Ballarat. Nice place, friendly and helpful staff. Nice heated pool opens until 9.00PM. In good location and close to Sovereign Hill (3mins drive). It was a nice 2 nights stay for my family.

A weekend break away with the girls. Great service. We were given full access to all services. Given extra late checkout. The girls were offered access to games room later in the evening. Helpful and Generous. The beds were really good. Always hope when you stay away the beds will be worth the night away and we can say they were a delight to sleep in. Everything was set up in the room ready to enjoy.

This is our second time staying here. Everything from the room the pool, spa and sauna were exceptionally clean tidy and fresh. Reception was so friendly and easy check in.

Fantastic all rounder. Great rooms, restaurant next door with optional room service, gym, tennis court, games area and pool with spa and sauna. Staff are friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back.

We stayed for two nights and everything was excellent. Two adults and two kids in the family suite. The rooms were very clean and organised with everything you need. All the extra linen was clean and fresh. The on-site free laundry was so helpful.
My kids absolutely loved the pool and spa and I really enjoyed the sauna.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will be back.

Fantastic helpful, wonderful reception girls absolutely amazing! Entry to the hotel I was very much worried as it looked from the outside, dated and run down (first impression). But getting in there it was really nice. Fantastic pool heated. Free snooker, free ping pong, free fitness, free fooseball which provided entertainment for the kids. The only thing are the rooms are outdated and the water from the shower is so weak like a very light rain level. But the facilities were VERY clean, even the public toilets looked amazing and clean. Would come back here again.

Very clean, close to the city and walking distance to Soverign Hill. Amoung lots of beautifully restored miners cottages and a short drive or walk into town to cafes. The pool is fantastic, indoor and has spas attached as well as a sauna and tennis and gym facilities.
There is a restaurant attached that offers meals all day (and are good quality!).
Highly recommended. We brought our family but would also be very enjoyable for couples or a mates getaway.

Booked the Executive Spa Room and was not disappointed. The room is situated in a very quiet part of the hotel, away from the main road and reception area.
The rooms looked recently renovated and had so much space. A couch, ottoman, desk for working and a dining table. The room also had a sink and microwave area if you wanted to self cater. Although the restaurant is just across the car park, reasonably priced and great service. I took desert back to my room so I could keep working and their was no issue with that.
Thoroughly recommend, one of the largest most spacious motel rooms I have stayed in for a while.

This is our third visit. We just love the pool. This time we booked a Deluxe Twin room. But we had a few issues. 1) Our key cards would not allow access to the pool. 2) The room had an infestation of ants including dead ones in the kettle. 3) The fridge in the room sounded like a washing machine when the pump started running in the night. 4) The floor tiles in the shower sloped the wrong way which caused the bathroom to flood with water when we had a shower. 5) There was leftover food in the cupboards from the previous occupants. 6) There was one window with no blockout curtain, our room was directly in front of the spot where arrivals park to check in, someone arrived at about midnight, parked, and left their headlights on for about 10 minutes which lit up our entire room. 7) Reception was locked and deserted at our check out time.
I don’t blame the staff. They appeared to be run off their feet.

Stayed a weekend with a friend and we had the most amazing time. We received a phone call on our way to see how we were travelling and what time we were expecting to arrive. It was a very cold night and the staff had put on the heater in our room. It was so warm and cosy. Beds were super comfortable and the room was clean and tidy. Hotel staff were brilliant. Friendly and so helpful, beautiful atmosphere. Food was delicious. It was all just so smooth and easy. Facilities are fantastic. I highly recommend this place. Will definitely be staying again.

This place made me feel very comfortable. Parking was right outside my room and off street. Rooms were really large. Clean. Had a seat for working at my computer so as not to sit on the bed.
Red lion hotel next door offered great meals and extended eating hours.
The price was a little high but no other complaints.

Great room: spacious, good beds, big TV, had a microwave and a kettle as well as a mini fridge. Good bathroom with very hot water. Clean rooms and fluffy towels. Lots of warm blankets which was great cos we stayed in Winter!
Staff: amazing customer service. Every staff member really seems to love working there! Some of the best customer service we've ever had.
Facilities: who doesn't love an indoor pool? Room service from the Red lion restaurant is excellent and the restaurant itself is also great!

Convenient, clean and comfortable. We followed a another's reviewer's tip and asked for a quiet room though suspect most of rooms are quiet. It was very convenient to be able to have meals at the handy restaurant/cafe/bar and to be within walking distance of Ballarat's main street. Staff were efficient and helpful. My only regret is that I did not have time to go in the heated pool.

AMAZING! MUST STAY! We stayed here over the weekend and had the most wonderful stay. The staff are beyond friendly and helpful, the rooms are so cosy and warm and the indoor heated pool was the icing on the cake. My toddler swam every day of our stay and absolutely loved it. The beds are so comfy and the kitchenette was well stocked with cutlery, plates, tea & coffee, toastie maker and toaster. Make sure you treat yourself to room service you won't be disappointed. Thank you for making our family weekend away so amazing. Will 100% be back
