Southside Billy's

Southside Billys is one of the premier food offerings at Southland shopping centre. It has great coffee, breakfast and lunch options. The staff are always willing to help and are very friendly. My wife and I love coming here.

This was the Bruschetta I was served today. Cold soggy with old tomatoes and no onion. Revolting

The worst Eggs Benedict we've ever had! The knife couldn't cut through the muffin or the dry "bacon". Tried this place when it opened now I know why I shouldn't have gone back! Staff lovely though

The toastie was good. The coffee was the worst I have ever had. I have coffee a number of times a week at many different places and I have never had such strong coffee that it was impossible to drink. When I complained (nicely) about the awful coffee, the staff member said absolutely nothing. Didn't offer to speak to the person who made it or give me another cup. Really poor service. Certainly won't go back there.

The customer service was exceptional and very accommodating. I thoroughly enjoyed the mouthwatering open lamb souvlaki and the breakfast was simply the best.

Have been here a few times will return again.

Staff are very rude - worker with dark hair and glasses abuses her elderly customers with a blonde one. Disgusting, a shame since the food is nice. You feel constantly watched here by the whole staff. Would not recommend.

A very best place under one roof. I am in love with their coffee, add up small almond croissant and that make your day fresh.

Place was good. The waitress was nice and friendly and got us a table in a corner. Right next to the staff room. You have to order at the counter after you find a table.

Coffee tasted average and no latte art. Food was also average. Ordered a burger and the bun was burnt from the bottom. Smashed avo was nice. Arancini balls were good. Homemade Spanakopita was also nice with greek salad.

I might try this cafe again.

No doubt this is the best cafe in Southland.
Coffee excellent, breakfast is very good, the ambiance is casual and friendly and the service is quick and efficient.
For first-timers you get your takeaway coffees on the left side of the cafe and all your sit-down needs via the right side.

It is getting very popular, but even their Takeaway food is outstanding! You may need to wait a little while to get your order or your coffee but it’s worth it!

I work in Myer Southland and get my coffee every morning at Southside Billy's. Those girls are great! They are friendly and quick. But most important of all, the coffee is great I sometimes get their superfood slices which keep me going all day xxx

Can always count on Billy's for a good breakfast. Just one piece of feedback though, please bring back the normal hashbrowns.the new ones aren't great.

Firstly, the food is of great quality and well prepared. Fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is also good, not too quiet, not too loud. The serving portions are small. Ordered a Billy's Breakfast. Was served with a small slice of bread, half a hash brown and literally 1 fork full of spinach. We waited for 30 minutes before our food came out, and when it did, my small slice of bread was cold even though it was supposed to be toasted. I asked for a second piece of bread. I waited another 10 minutes before that came out and was charged $3 for it. I think given the serving size and service, the food is definitely over-priced and a piece of bread at $3 in addition to a $23 meal is definitely too much.

Wife and I sat outside on bridge and had great cappuccino and banana bread from Southside Billy. And waitress was very helpful. Tuesday at noon is great time to go. Might make it there regularly coz centre not so congested.

I am in the process of doing a progressive cafe crawl around Southland in Cheltenham. The latest venue was Southside Billy's - it was pleasantly surprised.
It was lunchtime peak hour and the ample sized place was about 3/4 full. A table for 2 proved no drama.
Had an enjoyable Wagyu beef burger with a pot of English breakfast tea. There was also praise from my wife for her Brekkie Roll.
Prices were about average. The staff were super friendly and the whole experience a good one.

Great smashed avo, kids loved their poached eggs and Egg&Bacon roll too (and the yummy potato roasti). The coffee a touch bitter for me, but otherwise it was a great breakfast. Thank you!

Really big serving sizes, and you definitely get what you pay for.

Their coffee was tasty and good quality. Will definitely be returning to try some of their other menu options!

Friendly staff and fast but disappointing. Tasteless and gooey (the consistency of thick peanut butter) corn fritters. Overpriced for the serving size. Never again.
