We had a pleasant 2 night stay at SGC. Easy drive to Halls Gap and surroundings. Our cabin was comfortable and well presented with clean sheets, towels, and full kitchen utensils. Weber Q on the front porch. This is our 5th time at SGC over the years. Will be back again

Our 3 night stay in the 2 bedroom spa Chimney Pots cabin was fantastic. From the moment we arrived we were blown away by the thoughtful details all around the cabin like the vases of fresh flowers, homemade candles, complimentary chocolates and the fireplace being set up for us and ready to light.

The kitchen was extremely well stocked with everything we needed and more. I especially loved the quality products, bed linen, bathrobes and the private patio off the bedroom. Our 2 teenagers loved the spa bath, huge basin and plenty of mirrors throughout the cabin!

Thank you so much to Anna for this well needed break and to the caretaker Tracey those made to order candles are divine!
We will be telling our friends and be back to stay in the future.

A wonderful retreat with a loved one or even by yourself. It's very peaceful and quiet here. The cabins are very comfortable and have everything you need e.g. Fireplace, electric heater, spa, smart tv, fridge, stove and all the kitchen necessities, etc. Hiking is always closeby and there's lots of locations to choose from. The food and people are wonderful. We suggest grabbing breakfast at the local cafe or grocery store and heading over to The Piccaninny for a warm up hike. We had a wonderful time and we most definitely will be back to enjoy it again:)

What a beautiful place to stay. Such awesome and helpful staff and neat clean cottages. Plenty of hangers, full length mirror and what you need in the kitchen. Will definitely stay here again.

Unfortunately after 14 consecutive years of staying at the Southern Grampian Cottages our time has come to an end. A new owner has lowered the standards and put up the prices by 50 dollars a night. I am one of four families who have experienced the most unprofessional treatment by the new owner who rang each of us on Sunday morning to complain about our noise levels on Saturday night and the way we had trashed the place she threatened to fine us 500 a cabin. All this she said without being on site and seeing anything. We apologised for the noise levels but vehemently reject any trashing of the cabins or outside area’s. As guests We were shocked at the treatment we received. If we were as bad as she accused us of being we would not have been going back year after year. Our kids have grown up coming here every year and we always had a lovely welcome from George the old owner who took such good care of the grounds and cabins. You can see the gardens are not as well maintained, the towels are of a cheaper quality, the cabins are not nearly as clean and the new owner is not there to maintain the standards that George had held so high for years. I have never before received such unprofessional treatment and would not recommend this establishment to anyone while this person is the owner. I am supported in my thoughts by the other guests in our group. We are all in shock after this experience. Fabricated lies without any evidence.

Stayed here July last year but only just remembered to leave a review as I'm recommending a friend to stay!
Lovely hosts who even came to get the fire going in our cottage on arrival - and offered to do the same every day so that it was going again when we got back from a days hiking!
My only recommendation would be to get TV's that support services like nextflix, so you can bunker down if the weather is truly terrible

All red trimmings and furnishing. Red is mine favourite colour too. Beautiful place and awesome host. Will definitely come back if I come this way again. Called me up when I came back late the first night to check on me. Very concerned. I was very touched and appreciative.

A 5 star cottage set up by thoughtful host George and Carolyn. The moment we set foot on the ground, we know the garden and playground is well tended, loved and the pride of the host. The cottages are well fitted with an excellent kitchen, fixtures, beds, linen, the details are well attended to. Cottages like these are hard to come by nowadays. We will definitely Be back.

The owners are such lovely people. We stayed in cottage #5 with the spa. It was amazing. Cosy little spot with limited mountain views but they are spectacular. Kangaroos greet you in the morning and only a 2 minute drive to the Dunkeld Town Center.
If you plan on visiting Halls Gap, highly recommend staying here as the 45 minute drive is easy and unbelievably picturesque.
We'll be back!

There's nothing they haven't thought of! The cottages are so comfortable and equipped with everything you need, from firewood for your indoor and outdoor fires, right down to sports equipment and milk for your coffee. We'll definitely be back, thank you!

Amazing place! Best one we have stayed in VIC so far. Fully-equipped kitchen, nice sofa, amazing bed, wonderful bad. Highly recommend!

I have been staying here & referring my friends & family to stay here for over a decade. From the moment you arrive you are greeted by the most welcoming service. The rooms are so comfortable, clean & private. They provide so many things to ensure your stay is comfortable too. Room sizes vary depending on your needs. I’ve stayed in all but a couple of the cottages & can confirm they’re all to impeccable standard. And the price is such great value. Highly recommend.

We have stayed here a few times now. Always welcomed so warmly and they even light the fire for you so in winter your cabin is toasty warm. You can buy eggs from their free range hens who roam around the property. It has become our go to accommodation whenever we are in Dunkeld. The cabins are clean and well maintained.

Come here if you want to relax and recharge.

Thankyou to the team at the cottages, for making our 3 day stay a memorable one. From the peaceful surroundings, many great riding/walking tracks, and the local wildlife that visited our cottage (Echidna and kangaroo).

The cottages were spacious, had great wifi, aircon, cooking facilities, it's own picnic area/table, green soft grass outside your cottage, shaded seating outside your cottage, fire pit with wood pile ready to use. And, less than 10min walk to Dunkeld main street/road.

I definitely recommend the #SouthernGrampiansCottages.

Quaint, lovely log cabins. Well appointed. Amazing little town with beautiful vistas, friendly people and lots of outdoor activities. Highly recommend.
