I have been attending this practice for nearly a year after suffering from a skin condition for the previous 18 months which no other doctor was able to treat

Ryan was able to diagnose and treat a complex skin problem and I am indebted to him and to the entire staff at Southern Dermatology

The practice is located in a delightful purpose built facility which offers a variety of skin treatments

It can be difficult to find a dermatologist that will accept new patients in a timely period but they were willing to help me

I would strongly recommend this practice to anyone

Dr Ryan was the first dermatologist to actually listen to me and take action that he knew would help.
After years of struggling with psoriasis, it’s finally under control thanks to him!

GO HERE! I would give this place 10 stars if I could. I have been going to Southern Dermatology for a few years now, and when I was originally referred, I had already heard glowing recommendations about them. Let me say, Southern Dermatology is all that and more. Ryan (Dr. De Cruz) and his team go above and beyond in their treatments, services and attitude, not to mention they have awesome facilities and technology. They always have your best interest at heart, and I know from personal experience they will push for the care you actually need, empathise with you, and above all else treat you like you actually matter. To them you're not just another patient they make wait for 20 minutes past their appointment time, then coldly see for 5 minutes, give vague advice and send you on your way. They are always prompt and considerate, greet and treat you with a friendly face, then assess and consult with you your best options. As someone who's been carelessly bounced around by many doctors and has been to a countless number of specialists, Southern Dermatology is definitely the most outstanding in their practice and is by far my favourite. Honestly a cut above the rest. Just a few standouts/shoutouts to Ryan, Nicole and Amelia to name a few - just amazing staff. I am extremely appreciative of everything they've done for me, and hope to stay a patient for years to come. Somebody give these people all a raise. If you are debating whether or not to be treated here, take this as a sign to do so immediately.:)

Really good, very very gentel.helped my skin alot.all people there are kind as i was getting exratctions they go how are u, hows it feeling, tell me if it hurts to much.amzing.i recomend to poeple even with not too bad acne.i ussaly suffer from really bad exma but once i went to southern dermatology i got it handledi didnt know how to handle it but now i do.when i get bad exma i put the cream they gave me.and dr ryan de cruz gave me a whole acne plan, that which worked for along time.once imy face was drying out they new how to help i emaild them and straight away gave me another acnew routine plan.southern dermatology is 100000000000000000000000000000000 ect percent worth it.i was scared but they make you feel so welcome and happy.especilly Amelia Cartmel she is so welcoming and kind to me.love southern dermatology.

Worth the wait seeing Dr Ryan De Cruz! I had lost hope and my once perfect skin which was getting worse by the day with acne, hyperpigmentation and melasma. Every treatment was making it worse. Dr Ryan is such a fast, forward thinker and his knowledge and honesty instantly gave me so much confidence towards his approach with my skin. Within 1 week I could see a big difference and in 4 months my skin is unrecognisable. I can’t believe the results. I would of spent thousands of $$ if I had needed to and he could have lead me done that path easily. BUT HE DIDN’T! I told him I have no budget to get my skin better lol! He’s very professional with a very friendly manner so I felt so comfortable to speak freely to him.
If you have problematic skin, especially olive skin which seems to be more difficult to treat, do yourself a favour and go see
Dr Ryan ASAP as I wish I knew about him earlier so I could of saved myself a lot of suffering.

We couldn’t be happier with Dr De Cruz and his team. After unsuccessful treatment with multiple GPs over the course of 1-2 years, Dr De Cruz was able to diagnose and treat my 13 yr old daughter in one visit. Dr Ryan De cruz is a very knowledgeable, kind and overall good person. He truly cares about his patients.

I came to see Dr Ryan D’Cruz as about 80% of my hair had fallen out, with general thinning all over my head and around 4-5 completely shiny bald patches, which was really distressing. Ryan was very caring and also gave me lots of information about my condition, treatment options and risks and about the possibility of relapse. We decided on a moderately strong course of oral prednisone plus injections to the worst affected areas of my scalp, plus Minoxidil and Spironolactone orally. Ryan prepared me for possible immunosuppressive treatment with lots of blood tests fortnightly to monitor my kidney function and full vaccination updates. The prednisone was like flicking a switch. Hair loss stopped immediately. I stepped down the dose gradually over a few months and had several courses of cortisone injections. Just over a year later I have a very full, thick head of hair again - the difference is it is curly now! I will continue the Minoxidil and Spironolactone long term. Another great thing about Ryan and the practice is that they don’t try to upsell cosmetic procedures, even though of course they are available. Amazing results and a safe, respectful, reasonably priced service. Dr D’Cruz is totally up to date with the research and helped me recover my hair, for which I am very grateful.

I have been struggling with severe acne since my teenage years and have consulted many doctors. I was referred to Dr. Ryan by my GP and he worked a miracle on my skin. Within a month of using Accutane i stopped getting new pimples. And after around 4 months of usage I only have some darkened skin around the areas where i used to have acne. I’m seeing completely clear skin on my face after around 15 years and i cannot thank Dr. Ryan enough. He was very thorough in his explanation in why i have Acne and answered every question I had regarding the treatment. He was kind enough to offer me a student discount on learning i was a graduate student. When I was in Sri Lanka my skin acted up a bit and he was very nice to offer advice via email promptly. Thank you so much for giving me great skin which i thought was something i would never get!

I came to Ryan after having seen another dermatologist and many GPs, and I really could not recommend him enough! You will wish you knew about him sooner.
