The food and drinks were good. Loved the cactus taco. The staffs were friendly and nice. The atmosphere and music were good. Definitely would recommend!

A good spot for large groups with decent food and good vibes. The cactus taco was very unique and fried chicken is a must try. The mocktail and spicy blood orange cocktail were decent too.

This was my first time down South and I couldn't have picked a better place to dine than South of the Wall. I'm not usually a big fan of tacos but this place had the best tacos. The tacos were prepared to perfection, and the margaritas were divine. The atmosphere was lively and the staff were friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a fun and flavourful dining experience, South of the Wall is the place to be.

I walk past this joint all the time and was so excited to stop in! I shouldn’t have lol. There was a new guy who was very friendly but seemed a bit on edge because the dude with the braids (one of the most unprofessional employees of any establishment I’ve ever gone to- and that’s coming from a person who works in hospitality) was incredibly short and obviously annoyed by his question…but he’s new so why is he so pressed? The food was really great, the drinks were good but super expensive and you get like two sips and then it’s gone. I would go back for the food, but only on a day when homeboy with the braids isn’t working.

I had a great experience in south of the wall, the tacos were loaded and delicious. Pork belly, steak, and Jarritos were my favourite, the quedasadillas are also amazing and the cocktails were classy and unique!

The staff were very helpful and attentive.

It was one thing after another. We ordered wine. They brought dirty glasses and told us they were out of the wine we ordered. The replacement Shiraz was something you'd buy to celebrate turning 18. We opted for beer instead. My water glass was also dirty. The water tasted lemony. I remarked on that, but no one else at the table tasted lemony water from the communal decanter. I suspect that there'd been lemon on the rim. Weird.

Food: The ceviche was good. The people who ordered burritos enjoyed them enough. The lamb taco was tasty, but the rest of the tacos were poor quality: over-seasoned, over-stuffed, over-fried, mushy, and bland. We tried the fish, mushroom, cactus, and prawn tacos. As an aside, I don't understand why more places don't double up the tortilla like street tacos all over Mexico do. The nachos and spicy guacamole were generic. The chips were Coles basic rather than hand cut. They had hand-cut ones with the ceviche, which were great. I don't know why they don't serve them with the guac.

Vibe: As evidenced by all the Red Bull-based cocktails, the vibe is very much, early 20s, let's get drunk. So, if you're looking to get a good buzz on with mediocre food, give it a go.

Overall: The atmosphere of the room was buzzy, and the staff were trying their hardest. If you're looking for quality Mexican food, this isn't it.

Had a friends birthday at South of the Wall - Staff were friendly and the food was fantastic. If your looking for a fun and relaxed venue with great food look no further.

Definitely not worth the price. Delayed service. Staff involved in their own chitchats. I wouldn’t recommend.

Enjoyed our night. Friendly staff contributed to a great evening. Everyone trying to eat the crazy hot taco was great fun too.

We had our Christmas party here. Delicious food and amazing service, out of this world. Staff were incredibly friendly. Very generous with the bottomless option. Would highly recommend. The venue even allowed us to prepay for convenience.

Great dinner experience.

Service, food and drinks were on point. Pricing was affordable, not over the top and the staff were very friendly, especially the bad tender and the young girl waitress. The bar maid shouted us a round of drinks for our get together, very courteous.

Venue wise, nice and spacious. I really hate cramped restaurant but this place isn't it due to large open area.

Will be coming back.

South of the wall was such a vibe, I went with a friend for bottomless brunch. It was great, the drinks were amazingly mixed and the servers were really attentive especially for a BB. The DJ was great and she was playing the best songs, burna boy, house ect. Knocked 2 stars off for the food, the chicken and nachos were great but didn’t enjoy the tacos as much, also it was more like appetisers with bottomless drinks as opposed to actual meals with drinks.

But would definitely recommend

Perfect spot for a pre football meal and drink, bustling but still able to chat and excellent service

Tacos were cold and tasted average, the street corn was OK. Mocktails were a bit plain. Music very loud. Not a great experience overall.

Went here on a footy night, an. Thad a special menu which was very limited.
The service was good but the food was average and overpriced.

Don’t bother, may as well go to ‘Bodega Underground’ in the city who offer basically the same menu design but actually have decent customer service. We walked out of SOTW before even ordering anything because the male manager working on a late Saturday afternoon was incredibly rude and disrespectful. The unprofessionalism was shocking that I couldn’t do anything but laugh at the situation he had created and continue his condescending comments. He lost the business what would have been at least $600, good job mate, I’m sure you’re still standing up on your high horse. I do not recommend dining here at all. Wish I could give less than 1 star

The manager was so rude and arrogant that we walked out.

I asked a simple and polite question, only to be berated and insulted by the manager (he thought he was being funny apparently). The first time I let it go, hoping it would be diluted when the rest of my friends arrived. When he continued a second time with his insults, I explained that his behaviour was making us uncomfortable. Rather than apologise or diffuse the situation, he continued to berate us. He said that if we were insulted by him, it was because there was something wrong with us, and he was not at fault (absolute gaslighting). It was really childish behaviour. We were so shocked that we walked out.

Stay clear of this place, it seems treating customers with disrespect is celebrated. Gross experience that left a foul taste in my mouth. 0 stars, fire him.
