South Gippsland Tank Adventures reviews
19Awesome collection of tanks, ammunition and other war memorabilia, super knowledgeable host (war veteran/tank driver himself), definitely a good experience and worth checking out!
Wonderful experience, Cameron and Daniel two very knowledgeable blokes.
The 84yr veteran we took, thoroughly enjoyed himself, bringing back many memories.
The owner Cameron was very nice & the grandkids had a great time. The road to get there is very windy in parts.
I was given a tank adventure as a gift. Arriving at South Gippsland Tank Adventures I didn't know what to expect. What I got was in fact one of the most interesting and exciting afternoons of my life. The exciting ride on the Panzer with was Cameron awesome. The tour with Daniel was extremely informative and interesting. To say he is a wealth of knowledge would be an understatement. Everyone was extremely welcoming and I had a great afternoon. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a different way to spend a day. Also the local scenery is fantastic.
Bit of a drive off the main road but worth it in the end. Big tanks like Centurions to small AFV'Ss like the Striker (pictured)
If you are interested in tanks, awesome place to learn and get stoked on some great toys and memorabilia, if you're not into tanks, you will be after a tour here.
This was an amazing experience will definitely be coming back to do more adventures thanks to cameron for our tour today my fiance was over the moon
Came to Tank Adventures with my son on Australia Day, had an absoulte ball! So much fun riding in sereral different vehicles, the staff are so knoweldgeable and friendly, and the facilities are terrific. Great value for money and will definitely be back again.
It’s all in the name! Thanks Cameron for a memorable day. Very knowledgeable staff, simulated armoured vehicle gun fire was effective and added excitement for visitors. Would recommend as an end of year team reward to corporates and small businesses, also a top destination for families with adventurous kids.
Great fun. You can have a hands on experience with the tanks.
Get inside them, ride around in them, even sleep in them overnight (if you ask nicely)
If you are at all interested in tanks its rant worth a trip!
Great muddy fun, a fantastic birthday gift. Although we were there for about 2 hours, the basic level ride was less than 20 minutes of this time, but it was enough time. Daniel the tour guide was entertaining and informative. Amenities are currently very basic, but upgrades are planned. If you are over 40 or overweight be aware you are required literally climb up a ladder and scramble into position on top of the tank for the ride. It’s very muddy wear boots!
Excellent day out for our son's 12th birthday. We took 3 boys, all very keen on military and tanks in particular and they loved it. Cameron was very knowledgeable and had some great war stories and the boys had a fantastic time exploring all of the tanks and military paraphernalia. Daniel also a lovely guy with 1000+ facts. Highlight was tearing around in a tank in the mud - mum and dad had a ride too. Lovely scenic drive and Highly recommended day out!
Thanks Cameron for a great morning for my partner’s 31st bday, he loved it and even though I’m not big into tanks I had a lot of fun too
Thank you so very much for a bloody good day out! A big thank you to Cameron for being a great host, providing lunch and cups of tea galore. Daniel Cameron's side kick is very knowledgeable about Tanks and thank you too for being so passionate about your work, it makes a huge difference. It was also great to hear from Cameron and his stories about driving Tanks and his knowledge also. A wide variety of Tanks and stories behind them is great. Loved going for a spin in the Tanks that Cameron selected. Overall the day was outstanding, nothing to complain about at all! When you see how many man hours are put to the restoration, maintenance and keeping them going it is very encouraging to know that someone out there is doing it and making it a success. Bouquets and accolades to you!
Absolutely blew my kids mind!
The Centurion tank is a beast, it has a detuned spitfire engine and sounds mean as cat pi$$!
There was a couple that took out one of the APCs and that thing sounded mean too!
For the historian types there has been alot of work put into the providence and records of the vehicles on display which I found extremely interesting as I had read of some of the battles that these machines had been in.
10/10 Brilliant experience! ;)
A special thanks to Daniel! Who knows “the difference between knowledge and wisdom”
;)
We had an amazing experience with Cameron and Daniel. A truly once in a lifetime opportunity which we will never forget!
Absolutely insane day out, something you'll never likely do again in your lifetime so awesome to experience it. Highly recommended!
One of the best adventures we have ever had. Cameron was very helpful and explained how everything works as well as relating his first hand experiences. This is a must do if you are around here.
We would definitely visit again soon.
My husband and son had great fun on their tank ride.
Cameron and Daniel were great and very knowledgeable.
