South East Roof Repairs

In 2022, we engaged Southeast Roof Repairs for a roof restoration. Recently, we discovered a leak in the previously restored area and promptly contacted the company to schedule an inspection, given the 10-year leak-free warranty they provided. We called the company at (9296 2052) on 8/12/2023 and followed up on 14/12/2023. The customer service representative advised us to contact Wayne directly on his mobile, but our attempts to reach him, including a text message, went unanswered. Despite waiting for a callback, none was received.

Frustrated with the lack of response, we contacted customer service again on 22/1/2024, where we were assured that our concern would be expedited. With no communication from the company, we reached out to customer service once more on 25/1/2024, only to be informed that they have no direct contact with Southeast Roof Repairs and function solely as a message bank. This ongoing lack of communication is concerning and their aftercare service is very dissapointing.

We used Wayne and his company twice and we couldn’t fault them. However, last may some flashing on the roof needed repairing shortly after they completed the second job. We noticed the slipped flashing. Between my husband and I we have rung 14 times, and left endless messages. I have even contacted Consumer Affairs because I know believe he (Wayne) is ‘ghosting’ us. Our email sent according to Consumer Affairs has been totally ignored even though I also rang the office. If this is what they call after service plus there is a warranty on the job I would definitely not recommend them at all. His company has made a lot of money from our jobs and one expects decent service. He was soo nice then nothing. KEEP AWAY!

These people may or may not be good at roof repairs but whoever distributes their junk mail obviously can’t read. NO JUNK MAIL Thankyou means just that!

Had our eaves replaced by South East Roof Repairs. Wayne arranged for the asbestos removal, fitting new eaves and painting to be done on our home. Very happy with the outcome.

I contacted South East Roof Repairs with an urgent request to fix my roof which was leaking in through my skylight. Wayne came out quickly to survey the damage and estimated one week to complete the repairs.
They completed the repairs a full two business days ahead of schedule. They were courteous and efficient and clearly knew their craft very well, providing me with photos and full explanations of everything.

We had a leak in our garage roof that we needed repaired. They came in and quoted to tear out the deck and tell us how much it was - 9k. Another quote and the only repairs were to replace the deck with tiling which was another 30k. Wait no another 25k on top of that. And at the end of all that guess what they didn't do. Yes they refused to repair the roof of the garage. We had multiple conversations with them about it. They assured us it would be done but it didn't make its way onto any of the three quotes. So $65k later we have an expensive deck and still a damaged roof.

Make sure you double check the details of any quote to cover the work you want done and ABSOLUTELY get alternative quotes so you don't end up paying for a rolls royce when a volkswagon would do.

EDIT: Then he sends me a text to tell me I didn't "discuss this like a man" despite having phone and text conversations about how disappointed we were that the roof wasn't repaired.

SECOND EDIT: Notice the personal attack in the owners comment and that they haven't refuted anything we've said. We sat in the garage with him and he assured us the roof repairs would be easy but still excluded it from the detail of the quote and refused to do the work. Triple check his quotes because you can't trust his verbal assurances.

Over the past 2 years we have had a leak in our garage roof & had called out numerous roofing companies to repair the leak but without success. Wayne was extremely professional. I made a call to Southeast roof repairs after another company refused the job I required as being too small for them.
Wayne came on time on the day agreed, inspected the work required, completed a quote that evening and after acceptance of the quote a date was set for the work to commence. The person assigned to my job arrived and completed the work in a timely manner, at completion explained clearly what he had done to rectify the roof leak and left having cleaned up the site.
Wayne followed up twice after rain to ensure the work was completed to my complete satisfaction before sending me the invoice for payment.
A very pleasing experience as a client and I would have no hesitation in recommending this company again.

His team did an excellent job, what was quoted as 1-2 day job was done in less than a day.
