Soul Sisters Café Camberwell

Soul Sisters are my local go-to and I can’t recommend them highly enough! Shelli and her staff are so lovely, the space is small but welcoming and the FOOD is delish! Still dreaming about their toasties.
Hawthorn/Camberwell really lack decent vegan options but we’re so blessed to have these legends who have been here for so long serving this area.

Given that the service was very friendly, it pains me to say that this was honestly the worst burger I’ve ever had. I gave some to my partner (a staunch vegan, who thought I might have been exaggerating a bit) and she had to agree with me. The mushroom patty was incredibly dry, especially around the edges where it had the texture of dense cardboard and was essentially flavourless (it moderately improved towards the patty centre). The roll itself also seemed a bit stale. I would have sent it back if I wasn’t very hungry and on a tight schedule to make it to an appointment.

My partner ordered the nachos, which were also underwhelming and a touch stale. She also noted that the amount of sour cream provided was way too small.

The staff are so lovely and nice! And not to mention the food is AMAZE! I have come here a few times and I will DEFINITELY be back! Cannot recommend this little cafe enough!

Lovely spot for delicious cafe food made with healthy plant-based ingredients. Recommend the acai bowls especially Cozy atmosphere inside as well.

Ordered the Breakfast Jaffle as I was excited about the halloumi but when it came out I was unfortunately unable to finish it as the halloumi was quite mushy and didn’t resemble halloumi (as pictured).

Also ordered the soup of the day which was cauliflower and was quite nice. Staff were attentive and the young waitress was lovely. However service for the two dishes took 20 minutes

Great to have an all vegan cafe in Camberwell. Smoothie was filling and tasty, as was the toastie. Not the cheapest place, but the food hit the spot!

Partner ordered waffles via Uber Eats and there was no sauce with my waffles. Cold, overpriced and tasteless

Edit: Wow the response from the owner further drives home how grossly unprofessional this establishment is. Feedback is an opportunity to improve not counter-attack your customers and imply my review is reflection of my mood and not your poor quality food. Plus I think you are getting me mixed up with another customer, I wasn't rude to your staff and didn't interact with any other customers. Regardless, I support vegan restaurants and cafes all over Melbourne and sadly this is a place I won't encourage people to visit. I'm not the only 1 star review so perhaps you could put energy into improving your business instead of leaving incorrect and condescending replies.

The Buddha bowl was bland, huge chunks of unripe tomato and cucumber. Then covered in way too much mayo and a laughable table spoon of rice and 4 tiny cubes of tofu. I would be embarrassed to serve this in my establishment.

Soul Sisters Cafe is a cute and cosy, light-filled, vegan cafe located in Camberwell. I recently visited for breakfast was impressed with the fresh and healthy menu and friendly service.

We ordered the peanut butter acai bowl, soul Buddha bowl, melon breeze juice and an Ahhhspresso smoothie. Everything we ordered came out beautifully presented, especially the acai bowl.

If you love peanut butter like I do, the peanut butter acai bowl is the way to go. There was plenty of peanut butter which worked beautifully with the rest of bowl. My friend enjoyed soul Buddha bowl, featuring plenty of veggies it was healthy and refreshing.

As we were visiting on a warm day we opted for cold drinks rather than something hot. The ahhhspresso smoothie was lovely, it had a nice hint of coffee and was quite filling. The melon breeze juice was refreshing and not overly sweet which my friend quite liked.

Overall I had a lovely experience at Soul Sisters Cafe. They have a great range of vegan dishes including acai bowls, toasties, salads, raw treats and smoothies and juices. Everything we tried was really fresh and tasty. Next time you’re looking for a healthy feed I recommend you check them out. I rate it out of 5. Thanks very much for having me.

Had two lattes today and a raw slice which was wonderful, but the coffees forget it, my latte was only quarter full of coffee the rest froth. You may need to update your barista skills. I won't be back

Great vegan food! Delicious treats. We had a great lunch there with our baby (her first time for a meal with us).

Soul sisters has some great food and decent coffee. I frequent it semi regularly. On some visits the staff might be a little "too" casual however. Had to repeat my coffee order four times to one barista who I'm pretty sure was higher than Cypress Hill visiting Snoop's house.

Lovely little vegan cafe with a plentiful menu, as well as nice sweets and savoury options in the cabinet. Had the toasties and a coffee which were great

Smoothies are great, but unfortunately the food isn't up to standard, tasteless and overpriced for what it is.
