SOOL TONG reviews
37 I think the best Korean restaurant you can experience in Melbourne. It's really delicious. From various types of soups to high-quality dishes, I recommend trying the raw fish.
Also, the staff provides friendly service:)
Their seafood pancake is one of the best in my list. Love the pork kimchi stew as well, perfect match!
Suitable for people who prefers warm food mild on the taste bud, while having a drink after a long day. I prefer spicy food this the lesser score on food. Friendly service. Cash gets discount compared to card.
Another Korean restaurant in CBD. Loved the ambience with well decorated little space. Food was great too! We ordered soup with sujebi which I never tried and fell for it. Interesting chewy texture!
SOOLTONG is definitely my go-to Korean restaurant if i'm in the CBD and craving sashimi and korean food. This is my regular spot if you are finding me ~ so definitely recommend!
A must visit for a delicious Korean dishes & the freshest sashimi ever.highly recommend their chef signature set which comes with 8 authentic Korean dishes.
I love the way sashimi is served at sooltong. It's often paired with bossam and kimchi, creating a unique combination that goes beyond the usual soy and wasabi. If you're looking for something different, I highly recommend trying this combo. The marinated crab stands out among other options I've tried in melb, and it's absolutely amazing. Battered beef reminds me of Street food in korea.
The stews at sooltong are savoury and bursting with flavour. Whether you opt for the pork or spicy fish soup, both are incredibly delicious. The focus here isn't solely on spiciness; they truly showcase the flavours, allowing you to fully savour them.
Sooltong is a modest Korean restaurant that highlights amazing food. I highly recommend this place especially since it's ridiculously cold here in melb!
Nice place. Good for an intimate dinner and quiet drinks. We tried the chefs signature menu.
Salmon sashimi was good, kingfish sashimi was very chewy. Very basic. An overall subtle experience
Amazing little joint with the most amazing staff! Food was really good, highly reccomend the marinated crabs and the seafood pancake!
Great place, good service, very friendly staff food was delicious. Will definitely return for more!
3.5/5 stars – solid authentic Korean food! Lovely cozy atmosphere too. It’s a bit more on the expensive side though and the service was a let-down. Doesn’t exactly leave a good taste in your mouth when you see the manager of the store frequently attend to an influencer’s table while neglecting everybody else’s.
Fancy some K Sashimi? You must check out this Korean restaurant in the CBD! They specialise in fresh Korean sashimi that you won’t find in most other Korean restaurants. It is a great spot to chill and late night drinks.
Nice place for light meals.
Cold noodles, clam soup, octopus, sashimi and sashimi kimchi very good.
Loved the interior decorations, provided a very cosy vibe and was perfect for a late night outing. Couldn't have found a better place to relieve that mid night craving of fried chicken!
We tried the Chef special menu and spicy fish soup. The special menu is so good especially the soy crab. And I really like the spicy fish soup! I recommend having the soup with handmade noodle
Saw a staff wear a shirt saying whoever gives them a goos review gets a free beer. I was gonna give a good review anyway!
Easy to order, food was good. Toilet was clean, service was exceptional.
연어샐러드 매일 먹어도 안질려욘 음식 하나같이 다 맛있구 ㅠ 제일 좋아하는 한식당
I wouldn't get sick of salmon salad even if I eat it everyday. Its one of my fav Korean restaurant
Best korean restaurant in Melbourne!
They open until late and serve delicious food! If someone wants to try korean authentic food, I think this is the right place.
1* because 0 isn’t an option.
We were there for dinner and found a packet of desiccant (like the silica gel you get in shoe boxes) in our hot pot.
The wait staff were obviously mortified and apologized. However, when leaving we were still charged for the dish. The owner/manager was of the opinion that it’s not a problem. After explaining what happened he was still insisting that it was just normal which is absolutely ridiculous. They were very lucky that nobody ingested the contents of the pack. Regardless, we will be reporting the incident to the appropriate food safety regulator.
It should be part of the normal process to remove any such elements before sending dishes out to patrons.
Dinner @ SoolTong_Restaurant_ for Korean and chose the sweet soy braised beef bowl which was served bubbling and pipping hot. I was hungry and I had to wait patiently for it to cool. The sweet soy broth is delicious, particularly with the steamed rice. I love the glass noodles and various veggies. As for the chunky beef pieces, they've absorbed the soy broth and is tender and tasty. A very satisfying meal.

I was on a work trip to melbourne from Sydney and I wanted to grab some food and drinks with a colleague so I went to sool tong. We wanted to try little bit of variety of menu with our drinks so we ordered the chef's special hansang menu. We were very satisfied with the taste and the waitress was very friendly. I would definitely return when I visit Melbourne again.
