Where to start…I left today feeling sadness after saving towards this trip for the last three months and wanting to splurge on a massage experience. We struggled to find a spa to fit us in for a couples package for our final day in town but thought we were lucky when Soma said they could fit us in. My partner booked a $540 package inclusive of a massage, facial and wax treatment to soften skin. The facial was relaxing and felt like it was delivered skilfully however we feel the entire experience was worth $300 at best.

In summary:

1) The facilities were tired and not inviting for a premium priced massage facility
2) There was no introduction to our therapists and neither addressed us by name
3) For a $540 couples package there was no special touch or personalisation whatsoever
4) One of the two therapists kept talking throughout the treatment, taking away from the experience. Not whispering to the guest but talking. Out loud. Asking questions. Commenting on body parts being particularly tight and drawing attention.

5) We are certain one of the therapists was not professionally trained and will be looking into reporting them for dangerous practice due to the massage experience - painful, massaging over spine, no rhyme or reason to the massage, massaging shoulders then moving to legs then back to other areas already visited
6) We filled out forms prior to treatment and I stated I do not want my thighs massaged - I suffer from ticklish thighs and this makes me extremely uncomfortable. This was ignored and I spent the entire time stiffening my body due to discomfort.
7) I requested them to focus on calf muscles due to excessive bike riding. This was ignored.
8) I do not feel the massage was respectful. I was often left cold on the table due to areas being exposed while others were being massaged due to not replacing the towel after massaging.

The therapists were lovely people but the service offered does not match the price tag and I question the qualifications here. Honestly, we felt truly ripped off and wish we were the type of people who would’ve said something at the time.

I booked the 3hr Premium Package as a treat for my partner’s birthday. Totally worth it! We left exfoliated, relaxed and feeling thoroughly pampered.

Although Soma is not as scenic as some other spas, the masseuses are professional, friendly and accommodating, are attentive to the focus areas requested by you, the location is convenient with lots of parking and the service is fairly priced.

Our booking was not made due to some confusion, but when we arrived for our appointment they were really good at fitting us in and giving us the best service.

It's very nice experience，do a deep tissue massage after journey is definitely the best choice, worth recommending.

Me and partner walked in without an appointment for an hour massage. The staffs were very accomodating and made time for us. I had a massage and a facial. Really enjoyed my session and was super relaxed. I've been to multiple massage/spas in south east asian countries and I would say this is place's massage was 9/10 for me! My partner even fell asleep and snored during the session. Will definitely come here again if visiting Daylesford.

My husband and I had the 2 and a half hour couples treatment, and it was the best we've ever had! The quality of the service and the treatments themselves, were truly amazing. Would highly recommend.

It was for a day out with our friends that we went and suddenly made a plan for massage. Called them & were prompt to reply. Though they made us wait for a while, the staff were great & very friendly. The massage was too good. Definetly recommend it

I came here on Saturday a week ago and I've been putting off writing this review because I was so disappointed and I didn't want to think about it anymore. I had a 90 minute massage and I don't think my therapist was professionally trained. I'm qualified in massage myself and she did a lot of things you're not meant to do, such as massaging over bone/spine, applying pressure behind the knee, performing arm/hand massage while I was on my stomach (meant to be done while laying on back), using dangerous pressure on my neck etc. She also didn't massage evenly, as in she didn't do the same massage movements or spend equal time on each side of the body. She spent forever on my back and yet somehow barely touched my shoulders. My feet weren't touched and she spent about half a minute on each arm. Worst of all I left with back pain that I hadn't gone in with.

This was a really upsetting experience as I've been needing a massage for ages and have been going through a lot of stress, and it was awful. There might be some good therapists here but you'd be taking a big gamble. I don't know what my therapists name was as she barely spoke to me.
