Great, clean, easy, fast laundry. Fantastic to have wifi and somewhere pleasant to sit. Perfect hours! BEST laundromat around. And I've been to a few.

The services I loved were free Wifi and the SMS service letting you know when the machine is about to finish the washing or drying.

A well-equipped laundry mat, modern vending machine, and payment options.

It is a quiet place with free Wi-Fi.

The people are friendly in the area

There is a coffee shop available, during weekday business hours.

Edit: Customer service is great and calling the helpline can really help you out in a pinch.

Minus one star however because pinches do happen, for instance:

There is no security on the machines whatsoever. No verification process or password lock system before use, for collection etc (which I have even seen in student dorm laundromats).

I paid for 2 dryers - the payment machine said both were "clear" and ready and it looked as such - and when I turned around to load my wet clothes someone else had loaded their laundry into the second one and hit start

If you come here you'd be better off either coming before 3pm where there are staff around to address such concerns or come with another person to guard a machine while you pay for it.

The massive saving grace though is that the hotline is quick to answer the phone and solve such issues for you (i.e. Such as extending the timer on the first one (into which you were forced to dump a massive load of laundry) for you so it'll all actually dry).

This place literally feels like a life hack. Living in a small apartment with very limited drying space makes washing sheets/bulky items difficult at best - not to mention winter pushing out drying times and a 10-year-old washing machine that sporadically refuses to finish a cycle. Soap Bar is my saviour - they accept card payment, have a massive 27kg washing machine and are very reasonably priced! You can even get a coffee while you wait! Don't waste your precious time and energy battling the washing gods, just go to Soap Bar!

Price is good and the dryer is quick (24min), always clean, but sometimes the music is too loud

Laundry with excellent and well kept facilities, and a little cafe. Plenty of seating, power points for charging your devices, and some unique local produce (coffee, tea, some ceramics) for sale. Washers/dryers are good, various sizes, and connected to a smart system that can notify you by text when your laundry is finished. Payment by card available, and free laundry powder.

Love this place! Easy to use, can connect to wifi and just vibe until your clothes are ready!

The cafe is a bonus

I miss this place so much, I lived in Melbourne for 6 months in 2019 and every week I would go to this place, it was so relaxing waiting for my clothes while having a cup of coffee and looking trough the windows, just enjoying the moment basically and thinking about life, hope I can visit this place one day again.

I come back to wait here whilst ordering a coffee here with a bagel I purchased from elsewhere, staff member advised me I was not allowed to eat my bagel inside while I wait for my washing and told to go outside to eat, was quite rude about it also, don’t waste your time giving this laundry business.

We had a wonderful experience using Soap Bar Laundrette while on holiday. It was a joy to wait for our washing over a cup of good coffee. It's a great concept and well executed!

Before I moved, this store served me well. My clothes always were washed well though the prices can be better. Anyways on multiple visits I only have had positive experiences.

Surprisingly good and clean, very effective wash, and dryers are pretty quick, plus coolest thing is that you can pay by your card o4 mobile tap! Plus it has a cafe!

Credit card support, Apple Pay and PayPal. Machines are modern and the place is comfortable to sit and browse. Close access to local bars/ restaurants and parking is usually easy. Soap bar remains the best laundromat chain in Melbourne.

If you go during the day, try their café. Great coffee and café food. Vegan options available.

More than a laundromat! A cool little coffee shop with delicious food! An actual hang-out! Hi-tech too! It is really worth checking out. You can activate these machines via your phone. It’s the best laundromat I’ve ever been too no doubt. It’s a coffee shop and an hang out too. Love it.

Soap Bar Launderette is the best by a country mile. All of their launderettes in Melbourne are well managed, exceptionally clean and tidy and actually a pleasure to sit in while you wait for your washing. 5 star service and very reasonable pricing. I wouldn't bother buying a washing machine or dryer if you live close by, far cheaper to use Soap Bar.

Definitely good value. Machines work well.bit out my way but glad to have found somewhere dependable. Miles better than some others I've visited in the neighbourhood

Really nice atmosphere almost feel like home but just dont get why washing machine spinning with no water?

Noch cafe at the Soap Bar has amazing coffee and very attractive staff. And you can do laundry too. Try the bagels!
