So Pho So Good reviews
65 Had dinner here a few days ago. The service was non-existent but I wouldn't have minded that if the food was great.
Unfortunately we were served stodgy fried rice, rice paper rolls with very strangely-textured (defrosted?) chicken, and the tiniest & blandest fried spring rolls I've ever had (though we did love the fresh lettuce and mint that came with them). Was excited to have a Vietnamese iced coffee but this too was disappointing - very watery and weak.
We didn't try the Pho - which might be great - but based on the low quality of the other dishes, I probably won't return to give it a go. This place does seem to be pretty busy and popular with locals - so maybe we just caught it on a bad day.
I had the bun bo hue which was delicious. There's a really nice outdoor seating area which is about twice the indoor dining area. So don't be put off by a full house in the front of house. My friend had the vermicelli chicken salad. Lots of chicken. There is a 1.35% surcharge on credit cards.
This is one of my favourite casual-go-to-quick-fix-Vietnamese Street food places! Love it! During warmish weather, it is a perfect place to sit at the back with friends and family. Colder days are not that bad either as they have it all set up to keep you warm. Atmosphere outside is great!
Rice paper rolls, spring rolls, Banh Mi, Fried rice and prawn dumplings are my favourite! I forgot to mention that the corn pudding is delicious too! It reminds me of something my mum used to make when I was a child. I introduced this place to my sister and in a week, she nagged me to go twice! Though I love this place and pop in when I am in the area, I could only give it 4 stars for three reasons - limited menu selection, not a good wine list and sometimes staff may be forgetful. But don’t let it discourage you as the food they have it still worth trying.
It's exactly what the local area needed a great Vietnamese restaurant that serves excellent chicken pho.
I have been coming to So Pho So Good for years now! It has been my family's go to Vietnamese restaurant simply because the food is consistently fresh and amazing. Some must try dishes are the beef vermicelli salad, chicken Viet slaw and the pork belly Bahn mi! Thanks Leo for always providing a great experience and having the best staff. Couldn't recommend this place enough. Arie
A local secret everyone knows about. Authentic, superb, unpretentious. A family favourite when we have something to celebrate, anticipate, or just because.
Great food, well priced and being able to take away what you dont eat + also have a court yard for dogs
Brilliant local Vietnamese restaurant with excellent food & coffee, it is licensed as well with a good selection of beers & wines, meals are super fresh & tasty, great service, place has a pleasant vibe.highly recommended!
This place is so Underrated. I have been here before, the pho is authentic. I love love my calamari salt and pepper. I will definitely return and try more dishes that others are having, can’t wait.
Fantastic dining experience and hospitality. The late Barramundi Pho is delicious. The staff are very friendly and can modify food options
Excellent banh mi and fried rice
Ambience very nice specially sitting at the back is beautiful
Customer service is good
So good. Pho king good! What else to say. If you love Vietnamese food and great service. This is a find!
Disappointed with the food. Ordered two starters with mains to follow.hey all came together within 5 mins and overload of lettuce with mains too. Stiĺl looking for a main option? Soup? More a tappas menu at high $. Each dish lettuce garnish with same sauces. Wings x 8 @ $28 come on. Special crispy soft shell crab main.lettuce! Not crispy with head & brains.not appetising for a Westerner.soft shell is the dish. Still hungry and McDonald's for a top up. Sorry will not be back in the near future.
Lovely food and great service! It was a nice place to stop by for lunch and would definitely consider coming again. Love the Banh Mi!
So good. Food it delicious every time. I find it hard to stray from my regular order but when I do it’s then my new regular order YUM.
Vermicelli salad is good, probably would rate 8/10. Price is WAY too expensive. $19 for Bun? Other places charges no more than $15 for that. I mean I am happy to pay that price if they were perfect, but.
Our regular Vietnamese. Cool, relaxed vibe, great outdoor dining (as well as indoors) and excellent food - always so fresh and tasty. In particular, we love the Viet slaw, pho and rare beef salad.
Pros
Polite staff
Prompt service
Nice decor/atmosphere
Cons
3/3 torn rice paper rolls, so the filling went everywhere
No serviettes
Pork in bahn mi wasn't fresh, had been re-fried
On the expensive size for the portion served - high noodle to meat ratio compared with other Vietnamese restaurants
I am addicted to this place. Great pho, no msg. Staff are friendly, place has a nice vibe and the courtyard reminds me of village restaurants in SEA. Highly recommend for authentic Vietnamese food.
Did the job, however quite stingy on the meat portions in the rice paper rolls. Beef, chicken then prawn the best in that order.
The bao bun was nice but a little too dense.
