Smile Thai Restaurant

Visited for our first time today. The food here is absolutely delicious with nice cuts of beef used that weren’t fatty. The beef curry was soft and melted in your mouth and the Pad Thai was delicious! The waitress was lovely as well. Highly recommend.

My colleague and I came here for our Christmas breakup 2022 and were gladly escorted to our table which in light of the date were fortunate enough to have made a reservation. Instantly it became clear that our dining experience would be very loud in close proximity to fellow diners. Nevertheless we were served in good time and the food came quickly. It was quality food. Portions were small so we had to order a few times over which was frustrating. The atmosphere was obviously very peaceful in light of the culture of Thailand bringing a relaxed and south eastern vibe to the night. Of the many places we frequented within the Yarraville vicinity this one was a bit more pricey. There are many options to choose from if such cuisine does not appeal to one's pallet. However this is a review for Smile Thai and the place delivers what it promises- a smiley service bringing modern south eastern cosine which caters for vegetarians alike. The house beer is Singha and there are cocktails available which can be ordered stand alone without a meal accompaniment. We won't be coming back here only due to the cost of the food which is what made the evening a special occasion.

Definitely one of the best Thai places in the area. The restaurant itself is unassuming but the food is well cooked and bursting with flavour.

Great little place. The ambience and service were very welcoming and the food was really authentic. We had the roti, chicken curry puffs, prawn Pad Thai, Tom Yum Fried Rice, stir fried cashew with veggies, and Penang curry with beef Easily some of the best Thai food I've had in Melbourne. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back.

My partner and I both love this restaurant. The food is filled with flavour and prepared with great care. The portion is very reasonable.
