Late last week my W204 220CDI would not crank, or start. On Friday afternoon it did start to my surprise I immediately drive it to my trusted mechanic and ruled out the battery as it tested fine. Over the weekend I needed an answer so I searched YouTube and it very quickly became obvious what the issue was ESL Fault. On Monday morning I spoke to a friend who recommended that I call Smart Keys and speak to David for assistance. I called, David answered we talked, he was familiar with the issue and was available to attend the following morning to address the fault. I cannot recommend Smart Keys highly enough. David, delivered on his next day appointment promise, fixed the fault for the quoted price and saved me thousands of dollars that the dealer would have charged! What I value most is the service, honesty and his ability to get me back on the road in hours. Massive Thumbs up to David! Please get yourself on YouTube and let the general population in Melbourne know that you can fix these types of issues as all the videos I viewed were from Overseas and I wasn’t sure some one local was able to help! A very good price for a replacement remote key for my Toyota Yaris. The crew at Smart Keys were friendly and cut the replacement key while I waited.

Got quoted $89 for the new key and then got charged $100. They also used old parts from my old key. Maybe mine was a o e off- but I probably will not come here again

Received a very quick response to the online quote request I had made on their website. David, who was my case technician, was very sound in his knowledge and knew exactly what needed to be done to fix my issue. Another engineer from a different locksmith said that my case was too complicated and would not be able to fix it so I was worried that the cost would be really high. However, David was able to easily fix my original key that was not starting the car to work again and also helped recut my new key (which the previous locksmith did not cut properly) and also replace the battery for my old car key remote. Extremely satisfied with the high quality service provided at a low price. Thank you!

David was an absolute legend! The merc dealer quoted me a huge sum for replacing the EZS. Called David, he knew exactly what needed to be done, helped me arrange a tow truck for pickup, fixed and back same day and a fraction of the price!

I went to 5 places and they were unable to fob program for my pathfinder car key, some refused to do due to inconfidence, then the guy here did in just 15 mins.and the price is better than other places. Good job!

Great communication with David. He swiftly organised for my vehicle to have its keys reprogrammed. He was also helpful in assisting me with answers to some questions that I had.

After being fobbed off by multiple dealer service centers, and being told it will take months to get the key in - SmartKeys did it for a fraction of the price in 20 minutes. Highly recommended! My only regret is not finding out about them sooner

I highly recommend Smart Keys. I called a couple of locksmiths to fix my fob key and was quoted 350$ and 255$, respectively. But Smart Keys replaced my entire fob and charged only 80$. They are not only cheap but also professional.

I am also planning to bring my car for service to them, considering the quality of the work they do.

Mixed feelings they did solve the issue but poor communication and long waits to allow for car computer to reset without passing on info.would I go there again probably not!

Lists building keys as a service. Drove all the way there to have them say they only do car keys.

I had asked for a quote over the email. David asked a couple of questions and very clearly mentioned what is the issue, and was quoted $450 ($350 for cut and program a new Nissan key, and additional $100 for not having the master key). Made appointment on 30 July but unable to come due to side impact of my vaccination. Made another appointment on 6 August and reach there around lunch time. Was a bit unhappy that the price is different from the quote (additional $100 for not having the master key), but I agreed with that as I already made an effort to go there and it is a hassle to contact another keysmith and made another appointment also this place was recommended by one of my friend.
David took about an hour to cut a new key and program the new proximity key.
It was a good job and apart from price difference from the quote everything else is done professionally and in timely manners. Hence it is 4 stars from me.
If people ask will I visit again if I need to duplicate my key, the answer is yes.

Originally just wanted someone to look at the door locks and give me a quote.
Went down there late in the afternood. They were pretty busy. After they had a look, I was told I only needed a new key cut. I was prepared to pay for new locks all round.
Really friendly owner. Even though they were busy, he cut and coded a new key for me in about 10 minutes. Great service. Thank you
