Very unprofessional, would give 0 if I can. Thinking that people have nothing else to do other than wasting time waiting around for them to arrive on the pre-scheduled time. Lady on the phone was super unprofessional as well, put me on hold and cancel my appointment without letting me finishing my sentence. Then said “oh didn’t you want to reschedule? Well I’ve already canceled it”. Detector inspector is way professional and always on time. Would not return.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of entrusting Smart House Fire Solutions with property maintenance, and their astonishing negligence not only left me in distress but also resulted in the loss of my beloved indoor cat. The incompetence displayed by this company in failing to identify a glaring electrical hazard and allowing my cat to escape is beyond comprehension.

Here's a harrowing account of the ordeal I endured:

Inept Technicians: Smart House Fire Solutions sent a team of so-called technicians who demonstrated a remarkable lack of expertise. It was evident that they were more interested in rushing through their checklist than conducting a thorough inspection.

During their inspection, these technicians carelessly overlooked a blatant electrical hazard that posed a severe threat to my property and, ultimately, my safety. It baffles me how they could miss something so obvious, putting everyone at risk.

To make matters worse, while these technicians were botching their job, my indoor cat managed to escape through an open door, a situation that should never have occurred had they been attentive and responsible. The stress and heartache of losing a cherished pet are immeasurable.

Negligent Response: When I contacted them to report the missing cat and the electrical hazard, their response was nothing short of infuriating. They displayed a dismissive attitude, failing to take responsibility for the consequences of their negligence.

Smart House Fire Solutions is a disgrace to the property maintenance industry. Their failure to identify a dangerous electrical hazard and their role in allowing my indoor cat to escape demonstrate an alarming level of incompetence and negligence. I strongly urge anyone considering their services to think twice. Your property, safety, and peace of mind are too precious to be entrusted to such a recklessly inept company. My experience with Smarthouse has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone.

TECHNICIAN ENTERED WRONG HOME: Technician serviced the apartment 2 houses down - Not the apartment next door, or on the floor above/below - but two houses down. Gave an initial 1 star following numerous random emails from company asking to click on links to confirm the "inspection". Unbelievable that the technician performed the service on the apartment block two doors down. Why a person would allow a completely unknown person into their home I have no idea, but how this company continues to operate with this level of professionalism is beyond me.

Smart house fire solutions internal communication structure is abysmal. Day after day I receive messages and voicemails regarding booking in a fire alarm test for an investment property.

I have called them up on 4 separate occasions to ask them not to message or call me as I am unable to attend any smoke alarm testing because I live in Melbourne and the property is in Ballarat.

On each occasion I am told they will take my number off the system and contact my property manager to obtain the tenants number. I have informed my property manager about the situation and he has also contacted them.

Despite this nothing has changed and it's exceedingly frustrating to have to take time off work to make a call and say the same thing to a different person with the same outcome.

However I'd like to say, in a situation like this, we pay a good amount of money for an expert who would think for themselves or maybe just have look around, such as, if you see a brand new A/C and an old heater that's disconnected, you might wanna stop for a second and ask yourself "WHY". Now that's called doing your job.

And again that is what I am paying you to do.

If I am doing all the work why do you think people should hire your company, there is some food for thought.

We are currently using Smart House for our rental property, they came and did the compliance check and came with result pretty quickly.

The problem is that we installed a brand new A/C recently and hire an electrician to cut off the electricity for the old heater in the living room, in the report by Smart House we have to reconnect it. It could be miscommunication between our real estate agency and them, but we are looking to hire a different company.

Poor data management. Texted me about an appointment more than 3 years after I moved out of the property. Why do you still have my data? Claimed it was the agency that sent it to them, yet the agency no longer manages the property and said they did not schedule or send any info. Still waiting on another call from Smart House to explain how they still have my number. Data privacy is top priority.

Edit: You need to go and chat the he reps in the office. Your response is not factual. The agency who I have contacted are no longer managing the property. They have no work orders and have sent no info to you. So your response is incorrect. Either you do keep data historically despite what the agency gives you OR you have a floor in your system which you should look into how this data has remained on the system.

Either way, telling me something incorrect just to quickly move onto the next task for the day won’t rectify your poor data management. You actually have to investigate and implement solutions. There would be evidence of that if you contacted the team I spoke to and asked them what happened. But your response indicates you did not.

Someone was at our apartment less than an hour after I made a last-minute booking. My smoke alarm inspection was quickly scheduled, and the customer service that day was outstanding — rapid, effective, and professional. Highly advise them to everyone. A employee spent 2hours at our house stuffing about, we left our house for three hours and came back to a potent gas smell in our house.they had broken a part under the sink that connected to the oven, it then was leaking gas perfusly into our house.which could have led to more danger if we weren't vigilant. Absolutely pathetic, train your staff up right, or don't let them do the dam job!
