Quaint shop selling the best pies in the city. Tried the beef Guinness pie and it was delicious - chunky bits of beef within a crispy and fluffy pastry. Service staff is warm and friendly too.

Very large selection of pies, come in small and large sizes. Lots of salds as well, you can either have bite there or take a bunch home.

I’ve been coming here for years. Pies have been consistently delicious. The service is excellent special mention to the older blonde lady for always being lovely and helpful! Hygiene is top notch. Great place to eat I recommend coming here.

Where’s the gravy? Aussie beef pie had a filling consistency like a meat samosa or an el ol paso taco mix but still dryer in texture. Could have just been todays batch. Person serving was a little on the rude side.

Great pies with tasty fillings.

We got the beef and mushroom pie and chicken and mushroom pie and both were great.

The crust of the pies were quite thin and less flavoursome and crunchy than what I would like, but was still nice. The filings are chunky - no mystery meats here.

These family sized pies were around $30 each and can feed four comfortably (assuming you have sides and are not too hungry)!

Spanakopita was not very nice tasting.
Slimey texture. Didn’t enjoy it unfortunately.

Delicious pies! They have a lot of fillings including the vegan friendly ones. Price is a bit high but I assure the quality. Staff were attentive. I love their chicken curry pie so much and will go again for it!

Located in South Melbourne market, they sell all sorts of pies? , including vegetarian! Only decided to try them when I overheard a person saying that their pies are delicious, and it really did not disappoint.

Had the curry chicken pie, and their fillings are absolutely. It has tender chicken pieces, carrots and potatoes. Not spicy at all and not too salty.

Will definitely come back again:)

Pie Shop serves as their commercial kitchen for their brand range, but also serves up a wide range of meat pies, pasties, and healthy salads direct to customers. That said, the Small Town Pie Co. The Meat Pie Beef Steak & Guinness Stout (AUD $8.90) is excellent. The pie crust is crisp and flaky, with buttery savoury notes.

Within, a generous filling of chunky tender diced beef, crisp celery, and soft caramelised white onions, all with smoky meaty vegetal savoury salty sweet flavour.

Filled with a rich gravy, made with a blend of beef stock, spices, white sugar, salt, barbecue sauce, white vinegar, tamarind paste, beer, and vegemite.

This results in a robust boozy salty savoury earthy herbal spice flavour upfront, with a tinge of sour bitter sweet on the back, to the overall meat pie beef steak & guinness stout.

The Meat Pie Beef Steak & Kidney (AUD $8.90) is of good quality. Generously packed with chunky tender diced beef, chewy beef kidneys, crisp celery, and soft caramelised white onions, this has big smoky meaty mineral bitter earthy salty savoury flavour, strong without being overwhelming.

The Meat Pie Chicken & Mushroom (AUD $8.90) has the signature pie crust that is flaky and crisp, shattering beautifully.

Their meat pie chicken & mushroom is generously filled with chunky tender diced chicken, crisp celery, soft caramelised white onions, crunchy leeks, tender potato cubes, soft carrots, tender parsnip, tender button mushrooms, thyme, and parsley.

This results in mellow meaty vegetal earthy herbal savoury sweet salty bitter flavour, very enticing and tasty. Among the better versions around.

Good pies, but little pricey. My Wagyu truffle was $9 so it was justifiable. But not sure if $8 for the other pies but I haven't tried and this pie had great ingredients so. You pay what you get.

I buy their Pies weekly. I recently went Rolling Pin Bakery, but I honestly prefer Small Town Pie Co. Your pies are The Best

Absolutley amazing. We ordered a vareity of pies, pasties and sausage rolls, over 100 pieces and everyone at work, even those who don't eat pies normally, went for seconds. They all asked where I got them from and were extremely impressed. We'll certainly be back.

Pies were good, above average I’d say. Very expensive at $8+ per pie.

But wow the attitude of the staff was atrocitious. So much attitude coming from both a brunette woman and an old blonde lady.

Came back for seconds to buy cold pies for later as we were just visiting Melbourne and copped some attitude asking for sauce and asking how to reheat pies. Still not sure if her advice was sarcastic or not. Haven’t eaten pies yet.

Won’t return. Souring experience after all the other lovely stores we visited at South Melbourne market which were DELIGHTFUL.

Had their amazing Chicken mushroom pie, so goood.not sure if i able to find them next time, but im sure i will get some other pie or quiche to try

Highly recommend! Delicious! Best moussaka, and it goes beautifully with that beetroot salad! Yum!

Pretty good pie. Pastry a bit flimsy, as soon as I took a bite it all fell apart, filling delicious.

Best quality pies, sausage rolls and quiches. Especially recommend lamb and Rosemary family pie.

The pies were fantastic. Highly recommend. Great pastry, yummy fillings. Some of the best we’ve had in a long time. We bought extra to keep in the freezer. Good price as well.
