Slow Clay Centre

Had a lot of fun here last week, everyone in the class managed to produce something to take home, the teachers were great.

Slow Clay - a place of Zen. Time to breathe, explore and let your fingertips come into their own. Regardless of which clay you use, it will always be special in this place. Enjoy!

Jane Sawyer is the best tutor you can ask for. There is no question that Jane has a great knowledge base. What makes her outstanding is the fact that Jane is a keen teacher too, and you find the class easy to follow. About the Slow Clay Centre, I found the equipment in good quality, and the atmosphere very friendly too. In short, highly recommended.

I attended the pottery wheel intensive course a week and a half ago and had a wonderful time! I was particularly impressed because I have a disability which I thought might impact on the weekend, and I informed the facilitator Jane in advance. Jane and her assistant Alyssa were very understanding and inclusive and ensured that everyone was helped to achieve their best. It was a fun weekend, we were encouraged to get to know one another, and we developed quite a camaraderie. I am from regional Victoria, and several participants were from quite far away. All of us had successes (as well as a few rather interesting looking attempts!). It was more than 40 years since I had last thrown a pot, and now I have been inspired to start again! Thank you Jane and Alyssa.

Driving 40 minutes to reach to Slow Clay and the same time on the way beck was worth as my son highly enjoy his time there. Thanks for such a great teachers, facilities and atmosphere
