Slides Playcentre & Cafe Knox

Very disappointing to see how down hill this once awesome establishment has gone. All the equipment is need of a huge upgrade and face lift. Slides are a hazard as they are not connecting properly causing injury, metal poles are exposed around the playground, sections that are not in use are barely sectioned off properly leading kids to try and play in those areas. Staff were lovely, food was very lacking, most things on the menu was not available and the food we did receive tasted stale. Would love to see this place back to its glory days pre covid. Will not be coming back again until this place has been upgraded.

The kids have loved attending birthday parties here for years. They always have a great time.

If you are looking for a place to host your toddler's birthday party, you should definitely consider this place. This is a place where the kids and their parents can enjoy together on the slides and capture life long memories!

NERF PARTY - NOT GOOD

Over the weekend I had my sons party at Slides Play Centre and we booked 2 sessions of the NERF Guns.
Us parents spent half the first session going through 2 tubs of guns and bullets. Majority of the guns did not even work, the bullet wouldn't even leave the gun when fired and others would just flop out in front of the gun. The only few that worked decently were the 1 bullet guns.
My son was soo disappointed and upset, my husband had to race to the nearest toy shop and bulk buy 10 guns costing us $250 just so the kids all had a gun that worked.
The venues workers gave no compensation for the fact their guns didn't work and that we had to go and pay so much more for new guns to play something we already paid for.
Really disappointing, I wouldn't recommend going here for a NERF party.

We went there for celebrating a friend's birthday, a bit creatively! Although a little bit far from the Melbourne CBD it is still worth it especially if you're going there for the bubble soccer. They do have archery and not just humongous slides. Staff were friendly and helpful!

Dated, old and missing safety padding around poles. As soon as you step in alarm bells ring then you see the toilets and wow. Some concerns around play equipment plus the scissor lift left in middle of play area bubble wrapped certainly wouldn't pass safety checks. Unfortunately won't be our go too.

This play centre is a little run down, dark and gloomy but it makes up for it with the play equipment it has to offer and the customer service. We went for a birthday party and I can honestly say it's the most fun my kids have had. The party rooms are not enclosed, just a small wall separating each party but the kids don't care. They also have the sports area where the kids played footy (they have many sports on offer) for an hour with one of the staff members doing drills and playing a match. If you want an affordable place for a party, I would definitely recommend booking here. The customer service was 5 stars! They kept coming over asking if we needed anything and making sure we were all looked after. Great experience, we will be back again.

The children had a great time. It's a little old, now costs $13 for over 5 years old and $11 for under 5. Has some new inflatables since the last visit.

The toddler area is really lovely. There's a big sign stating that it's not for over 4s and the public really seems to respect this so I didn't have to worry about bigger kids knocking my toddler over. The food was nice and the staff was friendly. The connecting sports center also offers a range of programs that we're going to look into when out little one is a bit bigger.

Great place to take active kids for a realy fun day out. Great food, not just nuggets & chips, & kiddy food. Great place for kids birthday parties of all ages.

We had our son's 11th birthday party over here and it was really fun. We opted for Bubble Soccer and Nerf Warz and kids enjoyed both, however bubble soccer was the main attraction for the party. The slides at the play center are also high which are good for bigger kids too. And there's separate area for younger kids so a win for all.

The staff were nice and greeted us with a smile. I was hoping to have my daughter's birthday here, but decided against it. The place is fairly small and the equipment is fairly run down and pretty dirty / grimey. Could do with a deep clean. Toddler area was newer and suitable for under 4. The bathroom facilities were terrible. I couldn't tell it it was rust or stains on the rails in the disabled toilets / baby change area.

Terrible playcentre for any kids over toddler age, there is just nothing for kids a bit older to do if they aren’t part of a kids party with one of the other play areas hired for their own play. The ‘jumping castles’ mentioned on the website are for kids either 4 and under or 3 and under.
You can only go down a big slide so many times before it gets old.
We could have gone to Maccas, paid less, gotten happy meals and played with more equipment.

Went here last weekend with three kids. The toddlers area is great and while the main play area is a little worse for wear in a number of areas (missing/damaged padding) the kids had a blast on the slides!

Only big downside is that while there are a number of food items listed on the menu as Gluten Free, we were told these (the fried items at least) are all cooked in the same fryer as non GF items, meaning they aren't truly GF. The menus should really be updated to reflect this, as it was lucky I asked.

We'll still likely be back though as the kids loved it.

Edit - Great to hear they do actually have a separate fryer for Gluten Free items, seems it was just a miscommunication on the particular day I went in.

My kids absolutely love coming to slides. The staff are really amazing and the cupcakes were a hit. This will be our new regular

The structure of the equipment has so much potential but the cleanliness, is pretty disgraceful. The place needs such a deep clean and the outside of the tunnel slides and especially the viewing ball is disgusting. There must be some sort health standards to uphold right?

A bit pricy $16 for each kid.
Also, no air con. Poor little kids were red faced, running about on the equipment.
Staff very friendly, and addressed the kids. So many adults forget the children.

We head my child’s first birthday party here last weekend, and the kids all had a great time playing with the equipment - even the kids at heart. The staff had been really helpful and accomodating. Would gladly use them again for future kid events.
