Slate Pool Lounge

This is so unfortunate but the place has been a haven of drunken racists and verbal harassers in Geelong.

20 December 2023, at about 9: 30pm, we were just passing by this area to get to our cars but we were shouted at by a lot of seemingly drunk whites from inside calling us names like "maids" or "rice munchers" or something like that. Lots in our group felt genuinely terrified.

I understand we are immigrants and we already feel a little awkward in this country but I hope there could be ways we could at least feel safe while existing and studying.

This place has a lot of potential, but most times I visited, there is no aircon. It's hot in there. Drunkenness spoils the atmosphere.
Staff are friendly and efficient, drinks are made to perfection A+

CS was very unprofessional, she took our name off from the waiting list without telling us and we were waiting for the text message from 50 minutes.

I tried to go here with my girlfriends, tried to have a good night out and they tried to run our time short. They were pouring half shot drinks we got ripped off. DO NOT COME HERE!

Tables are in good condition with lots of them on multiple levels. Great atmosphere for a few games of pool and a couple of drinks.

The staff at slate need better security. A brawl broke out and the customers had to get the bouncers attention. Safety first for f sake!

Massive interior, busy competition nights, decent tables, no tap beer but a selection of good bottled ones. Becoming a staple of mine for pool night.

Nice atmosphere, reasonable prices, great service, will go again and hopefully get better at pool!

Great place for a night out. Pool tables are immaculate! Cheap drinks and a massive tv for the footy.
