16 Great little spot, great coffee and bites
Meatball sub was killer and my wife thought the vego bagel she got was the best thing she’s ever eaten
Really cute vibe! We ordered the chicken Cesar sandwich and the meatball sub both were cooked to perfection really yummy! Good selection of soft drinks too
I really liked it here, food, service and atmosphere were all great.
Most importantly the coffee is really nice.
Will be going back for more.
The food we ordered was pretty good, especially the hash brown and the cinnamon french toast, however the fruit plate was extremely overpriced and the fruit didn't even taste fresh.
Such a nice cafe serving excellent breakfast and top notch customer service. Our breakfast was very tasty with perfect coffee. Great gesture by the owner
I’ve had my last two mornings made with the lovely warm welcome from the front of house team/barista extraordinaires at this new find: suffice to say, I’ve found my new regular given it’s just a hop step and a skip from work.
Phenomenal! Great food, great smiles and such a cool venue. Pastrami cheese, Italian beef and deli hero sandwiches were amazing. Coffee on point and the hot chicken wings are to die for! Keep it up!
Good coffee. Tasty food. Cute decor. Friendly staff. Glad to have Skinny’s as a new addition to the neighbourhood. Hoping for a broader menu once they’re more established.
My recent experience at this cafe left much to be desired. I ordered their Italian beef sandwich, and not only was it mediocre, but they charged an arm and a leg for it. Also, the coffee was overpriced. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent meal without breaking the bank. One star is generous.
No idea how they manage to get the eggplant in the long roll so silky and buttery, but it's actually transformative. Smooth and tangy heaven, on the softest (and slightly sweet) bread.
Having smoked trout on the bagel instead of salmon is an inspired choice, and the result is some kind of cross between bacon and fish? But in a very good way!
Down the Gilbert Rd south end, an old Milk Bar has been co-opted, and given a heart transplant. They kept its facade. And the heart is Skinny’s, a sheik cafe with a currently bare-bones but extremely well done menu. Creativity and flavour hit the plate with casual brilliance. Have you ever been excited by iceberg lettuce? If not, you haven’t been here. There are bagels, sandwiches, and the super friendly operators assure me they’re just getting started when it comes to food offerings. Skinny’s is 3-week-fresh. But it’s gonna go off, in the best way possible! Nice tunes, good coffee, effortless retro cool. The yellow dial phone hanging on the wall behind the square payment terminal is a nice touch. There are a lot of nice little touches here and they all add up to a very pleasant experience. Like Arnie said, I’ll be back.
Such a great addition to Preston. Love the vibe and the food, which leans wine bar-meets-diner with an emphasis on simple, high quality ingredients. No matter how you feel about iceberg, the anchovy and chive-dressed wedge is a must try.
Best coffee I have had in Preston. Staff are so so friendly, food is delicious and lovingly made, vibes are immaculate.
Really nice matcha Latta latte
Friendly staff.
Gorgeous cafe.
Haven't tried the food yet. Will return.
Thank you!
I’ve been so excited to come here and taste the magic I’ve been hearing about. Two fried potato options? Am I in heaven? But you know what, the sandwiches are truly da belles of da ball. We had the kimchi trout bagel and the deli hero which may be the best deli meat sandwich I’ve had in Melbourne. Also the coffees are so good and strong, will be back.
