SIXT Car & Truck Rental Tullamarine

I usually choose to go with SIXT but was new to this location. Reserved a Tesla Y model, upon arrival the car was not ready and had not been washed or vacuumed/cleaned, they started doing it after I paid and filled out the paperwork. I had to tell them to forget it as I was already late to a meeting. I paid out of my own pocket to vacuum and wash it myself as it was quite dirty and not nice to be in or drive in.
It also took 40 mins from presenting at counter to actually leaving in the vehicle, so make sure to leave ample time for yourself as they’re quite slow. Probably won’t go with this location again unfortunately.

Great service. Car was fantastic and the process was so simple and straightforward. This has made my car repair so much easier

Mixed levels of service based on who we were dealing with.
Not told about extra charges for additional kms over 100.
The payment system is terrible. Sixt hold the bond and payment for 10 days. Then charge the payment again in a seperate transaction so your banking account is charged twice. It then takes 10 days for the pending transaction to be reversed so make sure you have a significant buffer and don’t need that money any time soon. Expected a lot better.

Well run, and well priced cars. Will never hire from the airport again when this place is a short Uber ride away and much cheaper.

We hired two vehicles from Sixt. Great value as off airport location, and only $10 Uber to and from the Terminal. Very friendly no fuss staff who made it easy and helpful for a foreigner who needed help to get on the motorway. Highly recommended.

The Staff at Sixt in Tullamarine were a pleasure to deal with. They made my car rental experience quick and easy. Extending my rental period took one simple phone call and all was taken care of. The vehicle was clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend them to anybody looking for a hassle free and well priced car rental experience.

The team at Tullamarine were super friendly, helpful & efficient. Ash even offered to take our bags for us to the Uber when they went to the wrong location ‍️
Overall a great hire experience and loved the fact we could purchase a snow pass & take our hire car up to the alpine region.

Fantastic service from Paige and Jess! They went beyond the call of duty and stayed back more than an hour after closing time so we could pick up our vehicle. The online system allowed us to select 4.30pm as pick up time from Sixt, Tullamarine but that is when they close on week days. Not sure why the system let us choose that time for pick up but due to Virgin taking excessive amount of time to unload our baggage from the plane, we were running very late. Paige and Jess were so friendly and accommodating and provided customer service second to none!

The cost of the rental car was extremely competitive when compared to other rental companies (even when factoring in taxi to/from airport). Vehicle ran well, had no damage other than a couple of very minor stone chips and was nice and clean.

First time using Sixt but we'll definitely use them for all our car rentals from herein.

Only suggestion is that perhaps Sixt Tullamarine extend its opening hours, or make it a little more obvious what hours they are open/update online booking system so pick-up/drop off times are aligned to hours of business. If it wasn't for a quick check of documentation earlier in the day, and Paige and Jess staying back for us, we would have been stranded. Sixt is lucky to have such wonderful staff!

Booked a Mitsubishi Outlander but only a Nissan X Trail was available … Although they are similar in category, I really needed an Outlander (as I had three big luggages). Thanks to Page (I hope I got the name correct), who called the nearby outlets one by one to find an Outlander for me. Receiving and returning are a breeze as well.

I liked that I had one person handling my account from start to finish.
Zoe was very helpful and had a lovely manner when dealing my accident and replacement car.
Very conveniently located which was good too.
I would definitely recommend SIXT.

Outstanding customer service from first point of contact. Last minute booking to attend funeral in Melbourne. Exhausted bookings on-line with nothing available, thought I'd try my luck and call a few places as I was travelling from Sydney. Spoke with Junior who advised nothing available I explained nature of my visit and he asked me to hold the line. I was desperate. He manages to get me a car with their office in Tullamarine. When I arrived next day, Sam, Paige and Jess were an absolute delight. Paige gave me her personal phone charger to use for the day as I left mine in Sydney. I tell you that the care, respect, kindness the staff provided me today is next level. I've never had such outstanding customer service. The i30 was beautiful, clean
modern and lovely to drive. All their vehicles appear to have same standards. I highly recommend this company. You will have a memorable experience that will bring your business back to them. Thank you ladies (and Junior) for the beautiful experience.

Fully recommend the team at Sixt Tullamarine. You are treated with respect and the cheerful way the team go about their business assures you they can deal with anything without a fuss. During the Grand Prix week in Melbourne when I would expect car hire people to be frazzled, it is a great pleasure to get that treatment. I should point out that I am not a regular Sixt customer, so I did not get special treatment because of that, but they are certainly going on the list.

Book a vehicle via their corporate program, come to collect the vehicle at the agreed time as per the itinerary and confirmation they sent through by email, and the depot is closed! Ring their customer service get disconnected twice and am told there is nothing they can do! If I could rate you zero or in the negatives I wouldn't hesitate

This Sixt Car Rental had one of the best Customer Service person that I have come accross in many years that I have been renting cars. He has the finess of a Gentleman with a class act with it. He has the ability to put you at ease and answers all the questions in a fine and mature manner. A real person that would be picked up by many other opponents in this game. Thank you again Dash.
