33We are really happy with our rental experience. We got upgraded to better car. Staff is very friendly and professional. Never disappointed.
Cars were in excellent condition and well maintained which is a green tick. What impressed me was their staffs attention to detail and fantastic customer service.
The windshield was not clean, there was a charge of $120 because I picked the car up at Avalon and returned to Melb. Airport (is that necessary!) And finally, I requested maps and was told to connect my phone, the result was that I had no navigational assistance.
I am unlikely to use Sixt again for these reasons.
Lovely people at the Avalon airport counter, where Jeststar dumped me after cancelling my flight to Tullamarine while I was dropping my bags at the its Sydney Airport check in (i'm still not in a forgiving mood).
All my dealings with Sixt have been greeat - except I cannot undertand why a customer has to have a physical credit card to swipe at their counter. Security, they say. Surely if digital IDs are good enought for the ATO, the Federal Government, the State Govts, the banks and everyone else under the sun, there should be no obvious reasons for the car rental industry (Sixt is not alone in this) to keep living under the rock in a deep cave. Next, they'll want your Bankcard to swipe clackety-clack (a reference that may be lost on the younger generation but I'm sure Sixt management can remember the days of the engraved plates and the triple leaf form with carbon paper interleaves. Cavepeople).

Needed to hire a car at the last minute they accommodated me with a great car and great customer service the unlimited km is great as other companies charge per km.
Seamless booking and pick up of vehicle. Friendly staff and the car provided was in good shape and was perfect for my needs.
Worst ever. Will not recommend to any digital world now everything gets done electronically they won’t accept Apple Pay and which means go and look for other options we don’t have a car for you what a joke

Price was great, car was clean, customer service was great, except we had to wait for 30 minutes because the line was so long. The customer service did as quick as he could, but the line was significantly longer than other providers.

I have just returned my hire car from SIXT. I was very happy with the car, a Hyundai i30 in great condition, no damage. I think it was pretty new. It was a joy to drive. The hire process was easy. The man at the desk pleasant.
My experience was soured by an unexpected $500 deposit that was not mentioned (or not pointed out clearly) when I booked online. They deducted the money immediately when I picked up the car, but say they will return it “in 3-7 days. ” I paid for full insurance cover, so this extra deposit was in case I was dishonest.
It was in case stole the car, didn’t fill it as promised, or brought it back excessively dirty. Perhaps every hire place does this… but it feels like a real lack of goodwill.
I hired a car just for the one night. The process was extremely easy and the customer service was excellent.
Easy transaction process via phone and email, and quick responses and follow-up. My flight arrival was quite late, so the counter (Bedim) went through the rental arrangements beforehand, which was carefree for me.
